The Date

"Y-You want me to what?" Saihara asked, looking completely stunned, "No way I can I mean, I am not sure if I can"

"Yeah I mean, I'm fine with it but Saihara looks nervous" Kaito chuckled nervously.

"You're as nervous as me" he sighed, "It's just, I've only been on 'romantic' dates with you, Kaede, or one with all of us. I don't know how-"

"Come on Saihara" Kaede said, taking his hands into hers, "You can do this, I know you can. All you need to do is remember this is the man you love, and it won't be so awkward anymore"

"She's right. Anyway, if you do want this to work out between you two, you do really have to spend sometime together, just you two" Maki added, "So, have you been convinced yet?"

"I mean. . . yeah, okay, I'll do this. But for you, Kaede" he said, kissing her, "I'll see you tomorrow"

"Hehe I'll see you tomorrow my brave detective" she cooed back, running a hand through his hair before leaving.

"Remember Kaito, staying over at your boyfriend's house is no way as scary as pissing me off" she said, smirking towards him before leaving him with Shuichi.

That's where they left them- at Saihara's flat. It wasn't like they haven't had 'manly' sleep overs together before but they normally had the girls over, or it was before they started to date.

They had started to date about two months ago but have had some trouble talking. Saihara needs Kaede to help express his feelings and emotions while Kaito's overly expressive personality made Saihara feel even more awkward.

So they sat awkwardly in Shuichi's living room, him leaning on Kaito as they watch a movie. His left hand just laying on Kaito's chest while his right arm snaked around him.

That's when Kaito pulled his boyfriend into his lap, making him squeal in surprise. Then wrapped himself around him.

"Hehe there we go, nice and safe" purred Kaito, "Now cuddles are more fun!"

"Y-yeah" he chuckled, hiding his face away into his neck. Heat radiated off him like nothing else, which made Kaito chuckle again. His boyfriend is so cute and shy and he loves it.

"Hehe awe, is the movie too scary Saihara?"

"N-no-"

"It's okay, I'm here to protect you"

Saihara didn't know why, but hearing that made him feel so special. He wrapped his arms around his neck, smiling into him. Of course, Kaito was far more likely to be scared of a movie than Saihara ever could be. But he didn't want to point that out as he enjoyed Kaito acting incredibly protective over him.

When the movie ended, Kaito turned the movie off, "Hehe okay baby, it's off now. You did so well"

"I uh, thank you" he mumbled, feeling a little embarrassed. Yeah he was definitely happy the girls aren't there right now as he'd never hear the end of this, "W-We uh aren't-"

"Don't worry baby, I'm not going to tell the girls" he soothed, "We don't want them laughing at you and making you uncomfortable, huh?"

"Y-yeah" he giggled awkwardly. Then was scooped up, being carried go his own room. Then he was plopped onto the bed, his nightclothes being placed into his hands, "I uh Kaito, seeing as we have no school tomorrow, did you want to stay a few days? I think it would be. . .cool?"

"Oh of course!" He chuckled loudly, flashing him a smile, "It'll be so much fun! We'll probably need to go to mine tomorrow to grab a few things and some more food so I don't just eat everything. Then we can just relax in here for a while hehe"

"And I uh" Saihara started, looking towards the ground, "You can uh. . . share my bed, if you'd like to. I mean-"

"Oh, yeah sure" Kaito said before flashing him a big grin, "I think that's fine, I mean we've been together for two months and isn't like we haven't done that before"

That's when Kaito started to get changed right in front of Saihara. Yeah his face heated up and he wasn't too sure what to do. But he decided to start getting changed as well, noticing Kaito looking over at him from time to time.

Of course, Saihara had a very tinny frame, but some slight feminine features like having larger hips than most men and going in at the waist like a curvy girl. It made him feel a little embarrassed but honestly, he was going to see at some point if this relationship was going to continue.

"You're so beautiful, Saihara" Kaito suddenly blurted out while only being in his boxers.

"W-what?"

"You're beautiful" he said again, "I mean look at you, you have the perfect frame and whoa, you're just, beautiful. It's hard to discribe how I feel for you"

"You're the one with the body every g-guy wants" Saihara mumbled nervously, "I m-mean you have a six pack, and you barely work out. Your body is toned and you're taller than me"

"It's easier for me to protect you that way, Princess"

". . . Princess?"

Kaito just let out a chuckle at his reaction, then took off his own boxers to put on some PJ shorts. No matter how hard Saihara told himself not to look, he looked. Yeah, that's not going to fit.

"What? You studying me detective?" Kaito teased, "You can always come over here and check what I'm carrying, detective"

"Uhhhh, no" Saihara laughed. Yeah he wasn't taking off his boxers. Then he got dressed into his nightclothes, which Kaito did as well.

To help Kaito sleep, he pulled out a nightlight then turned it on. The room was now just filled with stars and though Saihara was reluctant to admit it, he thought that was freaking adorable.

After a while, they were ready to bed. Saihara was the little spoon and it didn't take them long to fall asleep. . .
