I woke up to the sensation of strong arms wrapped around me. Huh? I thought groggily. I looked down as saw one arm underneath my neck and the other hugging my waist to a strong, warm chest. A face was nestled into my neck, breathing warm air into the side of my head and hair. A leg was slung over mine, effectively caging me into a strong body. I felt myself sigh in content as I instinctively knew that it was Lucas who was wrapped around me. No matter what was going on, I could not deny how much my wolf, and I, enjoyed being wrapped up in our mate's arms. For an emotionless bastard, he was a pretty big teddy bear. I moved slightly, trying to readjust and groaned lightly as my sore body screamed at me to stop moving. My eyes widened as last night came rushing into my brain. The pain. The darkness. Lucas. Lucas helping me with the pain. Lucas and I having sex. I felt myself blush and put my face in my hands. We did not have sex last night. I turned around in Lucas's arms and stared at his beautiful sleeping face.

The strong jawline with neatly trimmed facial hair lining it. Full lips and a slightly crooked nose. High cheekbones and long eyelashes. "Stop staring," Lucas whispered sleepily, pulling me closer into his body, bringing my body under his as he lay on top of me, nestling his head further into my neck as I felt his heat wave over my body. I put my hands on his firm chest and rolled him back over lightly, so we were facing each other again, making him open his beautiful eyes and look at me curiously.

"Hi," I whispered shyly.

"Hi," He whispered back, brushing some hair out of my face, tucking it behind my ear making me blush.

"Can we talk about... last night?" I muttered, blushing deeper as I thought about us last night and as I noticed how seemingly naked, we both were underneath my comforter. Lucas smiled and nodded slightly but didn't make any crude comment. "Wow, no perverted comment. This is a new," I mumbled, playing with my fingers.

Lucas chuckled and propped his head up on his muscular arm, looking at me. "I can if you'd like. I just don't really want to get in a fight this early in the morning." I nodded in agreement.

"So," I started, sitting up and turning to him. "What exactly happened last night?"

Lucas sighed and sat up, running his hand through his har. "What do you remember?"

I brought my knees to my chest. "I remember coming home after work and not feeling the best, so I decided to change. I started to feel this fire-like warmth in my body, so I got changed and as I was making something, the warmth turned into searing pain. Last thing I remember was calling Megan before it went dark." I paused, seeing Lucas looking at me like warily. I scrunched my nose slightly, thinking back to last night to continue gathering more pieces before continuing. "And then I remembered waking up to Carter and passing out again from pain when he touched me. And then I woke up again to you. I remember, asking you to take the pain away," I said, blushing as I looked down. "And then I remember wehadsex." Lucas chuckled slightly.

"What was that last part?" He said cheekily. I rolled my eyes at him as I felt myself blush even more, starting to resemble a tomato.

"We had sex," I said softly, not making eye contact with him. He chuckled lightly and ran his fingers through my hair lightly. I looked back up at him and saw the humor quickly leave his eyes.

"Cass, about that," he whispered. I jerked away from him. He was going to tell me he regretted it, wasn't he? I felt tears coming to my eyes. His face grew in confusion as he watched me pull away from me and worry as he saw the tears in my eyes. "Cassia?" He whispered in confusion. I smiled sadly as him.

"I'm sorry. You probably regret it. You didn't need to have sex with me you know," I whispered, closing my eyes tightly as I prepared myself for more rejection. I felt myself being pulled into a chest tightly and a thumb wipe my tears away.
