I heard a knock on the door,I jumped."Connor,Connor wake up."I whispered to Connor as I shook him,"hm,uhh what's wrong Ev?"he asked as he rubbed his eyes.we both heard the knock,I jumped."Ev,get behind me."Connor said as he got up,I stood behind Connor and held onto his arm.
He looked through the door hole,he sighed in relief."it's just your mom and step dad."he said,I sighed in relief.he unlocked the door and opened it,"Evan!your Ok!"his mom said.she hugged him tightly,I smiled."Are you kids ok?"his step dad asked,"y-yeah,Connor's keeping me safe."Evan said.
Mrs.Hansen placed a hand on my shoulder,"you're a good boyfriend to my son,thank you."she said."you're welcome,is everything safe back home?"I said,"not yet,they're putting Larry on trial.they need witnesses,so they unfortunately need you Connor."she said.
Evan held my hand tightly,"W-What?"he said."they can't do that!"i said,"it's the law boys..."Mr.Hansen said.i sighed,"you can stay here for another day,but then you gotta go to the courthouse."she said.they gave us some money for an Uber and left,Connor locked the door and punched a wall.
"They can't do this to me!they'll hear all the shit Larry's done to me and Zoey and take me away from my mom for being an unfit parent and I'll never see you again!"he yelled,he slid to the floor and began to cry.i sat next to him and hugged him,"T-They won't Connor,P-Paul's a lawyer.he'll make sure they won't take you and Zoey away from your mom."I said.
"A-And I'll be with you the entire time!"I said,he sniffed."Your right Ev....I love you so much."he said,I kissed his cheek."I love you too Connor...."
