Eleven's P.O.V
I was walking into the mall with Nancy. There was so many stores and small shops to see. But today we were here for a few small things. "Are you excited El?" Nancy asked me happily. I just nodded my head with a big smile on my face, too happy for words to explain. "Oh I remember my first prom... I had so much fun, oh look just what we need!" She exclaimed as she pointed to a bright pink painted store that held loads of dresses. Nancy grabbed my hand and pulled me in. "Wow" is all I could say when I entered the store.

I never knew that there could be this many colors and beaded kinds of dresses. "Alright El find something you like!" I slowly walked around the store and brought back three dresses that stood out to me. One was teal, one was a coral color, and the other was a dark blue dress. First I slipped on the teal dress. I looked at myself in the mirror. I was never used to seeing myself like this. I was always wearing my baggy jeans and a striped shirt.

"Nancy! I got the first one on!" I called through the door. "Ohhhh lemme seeee!" I opened the door and showed her the dress. "Okay okay... I like it I just think you can find something that fits your waist a little better." She said. I looked down at my waist and it really did sag there. "Okay sounds good." I said good back into the dressing room. Next I tried on the coral one. This one just had way too many beads. There were sparkles along my waist, chest, and the bottom of my dress.

"Um this one just isn't me!" I said. "Okay try on your last one El. Third is always a charm!" I nodded my head still with hope. I tried this one on. I turned around and automatically knew this was the one. I was a simple dress really it was a v neck and had thick straps but had some simple flower detailing. I walked out and Nancy gasped. "Awww El you look so pretty!" She squealed as she pulled me into a hug.

I giggled and pulled away. We paid for the dress then exited the store. Nancy drove me home and took me to her room. "Okay So I think I know what look I'm going to give you." I laughed "Go ahead whatever you think looks good." She used all these weird brushes and pallets on me. Two and a half hours later my hair and makeup were done. "Three, two, one!" I opened my eyes and looked in her vanity.

I had a glittery silver eyeshadow on and some dark burgundy lips. My contouring and highlighting was perfect. For a small detail she put a small glittery blue snowflake by the corner of my right eye. I then slipped on the dress. My hair was in loose curls along with some white flowers. "Thank you Nanc. Thank you so much" I said wrapping my arms around her neck. Just then I heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door slowly and there stood Mike. I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear as I felt my cheeks get hot. He hugged me and I hugged him back tightly.

"You look so pretty." He said into my hair. "You look good too." I said pulling away from him. He brought me a corsage and I put it on my wrist. Nancy took pictures and we left. When we arrived at the school there was music blasting and people were dancing with friends. "Want a drink?" He asked me and I nodded my head. He brought me back some punch a few minutes later.

I socialized and played games. It was getting near the end of the night and it was one of the final dances. Mike put out his hand and I took it. His arms snaked around my waist and my arms wrapped around his neck. We danced slowly. "I'm so lucky to have you." He said when the dance was over. "I love you Mike." He pulled me closer slowly and gave me a slow passionate kiss. "I love you too El. I will never forget this night." We walked out of the multi purpose room that night hand in hand smiling at each other. Like stupid teenagers.
