Emily's POV:

I stare up at the clock on the wall, watching the second hand tick. Waiting for AP World History to be over.  I like World History quite a bit, but I've been down with my work for 10 minutes, and I am waiting for it to be over so I can go to hell. I mean the cafeteria, which is more like hell. I'm the school nerd, so the cafeteria is hard. It is were all the cool, popular kids gang up on the "losers", like me.

*DING*

"Finally." I whisper, and grab my stuff. I walk out of the classroom to my locker. I unlock it and open it. It empty except for my Anatomy textbook and my calculus textbook. I set my World History textbook down in bottom and grab my Anatomy textbook, and put it in my backpack. Which is a simple black one I got from target for like 20 dollars. Then put my backpack on.

I begin heading down the stairs to the cafeteria. After lunch I have Anatomy and Computer Science. I've already had Honours English 11, Calculus, (my two favourite classes) and World History.

I start walking toward the cafeteria when I bump into someone.

"I'm Sorry... I didn't see you there." I say, looking up to see (I'm 5'2) the person I bumped into. It is a boy with with blue eye , and dirty blonde hair. He is tall like 5'10 or 5'11. He is wearing black ripped jeans, with a black leather jacket, and a grey shirt.

"Watch where your going, nerd." He says, shoving me. I stumble back, and catch my footing.

I start turning away and walking to the library. "Whatever." I whisper, "it could be worse."

"Nerd." I hear, but don't do anything. "Stop walking away from me." He yells.

I stop for a second, and stand still, he runs in front of me. "What?" I say sharply.

"You don't know who I am do you?" He says.

"Not at all. I am supposed to?" I say in a sweet innocent voice.

"You should. Everyone else does."

"I'm not everyone else, so." I roll my eyes. I give a small laugh.

"What do you think is so funny nerd." He asks and I look into his eyes. His blue eyes, that looked like a dew covered blue bell, that give off a little sparkle.

"You, think you're tough. You think you're cool. I've never seen you before. I'd be careful with your attitude. It can get you in deep trouble." I say in a confident voice.

"Says the nerd."

I shrug, "Don't ever judge a book by it's cover." I say, then push past him and quickly walk away to the back stairwell.

I climb up the stairs two by two, and speed walk to the girls bathroom by D16. (Anatomy)

I open the door walk through and shut it behind me. Then walk into one of the stalls. I put my back pack down and reach into the pocket of my blue jeans. I pull out a small white container, and open it. I grab out a blade. Then I pull up my left sleeve, of my grey sweater. Relieving all of my scars, from cutting.

I drag the blade across my wrist, as I mentally scold myself. You almost gave up your secret. I drag it across again. He looks like someone that trains at Sierra's you have to be more careful.

I put the blade back into the container, and takes a bandage out of my backpack and put it on my wrist. Then I walk out of the bathroom, and over to D16.

I knock on the door, and Ms. Jones opens it. "Hello Emily, what are you doing here?"

"Hello Ms. Jones I was wondering if I could stay in here during lunch today. The cafeteria was crowded." Ms. Jones is old, but is very sweet.
