Beca Mitchell, CEO of her own company

Beca Mitchell, CEO of her own company. She's come far from where she started. Today they were doing a photo shoot involving one of her many artists. For marketing reasons, they're using a dog to attract more people. The manager of this department and branch was Miss White (her first names Megan). Beca would always boss Miss White around, but secretly saw her as a friend, probably her only friend. Beca was never really into making friends or really having a social life.

As Beca walks into the room where the photo shoot is to take place, she notices the dog in the room. Beca raises an eyebrow at the scene in front of her. She notices the golden retriever not cooperating with the people on set, her artist looking through twitter, and Megan trying to give the dog water and food. Megan turns to see Miss Mitchell staring at this disaster in awe. Megan fears getting fired or making Miss Mitchell angry. Megan approaches Miss Mitchell to explain what exactly was happening. Megan opens her mouth to explain, "Miss Mitchell, it's not what it looks li-." Beca stops Megan mid sentence saying, "There's no need to explain Miss White. Just hurry, we've spent too long on this photo shoot. This room is starting to smell like the furry creature." Megan responds, "Yes Miss Mitchell, we'll finish this as fast as we ca-." Before Megan can finish speaking, the dog runs away off set. Beca heard Megan and the rest of the workers call the dog by its name, Fluffles.

Beca rolled her eyes knowing she would have to help her employees get Fluffles back. After exiting the room they were previously in, Beca sees the furry creatures tail and calls out for Fluffles. This in turn, led to Fluffles running away even more. Beca, already tired, just wants to catch this dog, so they can finish this photo shoot and go back to more important work. Fluffles walks into a pathway that leads to another street, near a restaurant. At that restaurant sat Chloe Beale.

Chloe Beale had just arrived at that restaurant after having a long day at work and hanging out with her friends. Chloe was currently waiting for her food to arrive, while drinking water and alcohol to keep her mind off of things that made her stress or overthink. She spoke to herself saying what she has to do tomorrow out loud. She stops speaking as she sees a dog walking in the middle of the street and whistled for it to come. She noticed how tired the dog had looked, so she grabbed her cup of water and gave the dog her drink, while fanning the dog. Chloe looked around and noticed no one came to claim this dog after three minutes, so she just hung out with it and spoke to it about her life. She spoke about her financial problems and how she would worry about the future of her animal hospital, until she heard someone clear their throat intentionally to obviously get her attention. Chloe looked up to see a lady dressed up in business attire, but with her heels in her hands.

As she looked up, she realized this must've been the dogs owner. She tried to hold the dog back from the owner because this woman in front of her, obviously didn't know how to take care of a dog. When she did that, Beca took a step forward and connected Fluffle's collar to a leash. Beca tried pulling Fluffles away, but Chloe grabbed onto the leash too. Beca was too tired and aggravated at this point to fight with this girl, so Beca spoke, "Will you please let go of my dog, Fluffles and I have an appointment we need to get to." Chloe being stubborn didn't let go and responded, "Can't you see this dog is tired? Whatever appointment you have with them can wait. Fluffles needs to rest and cool off before leaving. And with you as his owner, I'm surprised he's still alive. You don't even look like you care about him." Beca scoffed at this girls response and attitude. Doesn't she know that Beca could ruin her career with just one of her lawyers? Beca losing her patience says, "This is still my dog, I am not hurting him. You don't have the right to keep my dog away from me. What I do with him is my business, not yours. So again, give me my dog, before I call my lawyer." With that, Chloe let go, fearing she'll lose more money and will be more in debt. Beca smiles inwardly at her victory against this girl and leaves.

Chloe's POV
Ugh. That woman was so frustrating. She didn't even seem to care about that poor dog. But she oddly looked familiar, which is weird because I don't know much people.

Walking back to my hospital, all I did was think about that woman. How she ruined my lunch, how that poor dog must be feeling right now, and who did she think she was? She looked rich and intimidating, but that gave her no right to speak to me like that when I was helping her dog.

Finally reaching the destination of Sabell Animal Hospital (my hospital, which also connects to my room/home), I feed my cat, change my clothes and wait for my usual 5 PM appointment to come. The time was currently 3:30, which meant I would have to wait awhile, but I was hungry. Food is amazing and I just love it. To keep myself occupied, I played with Muffins (my cat) and spoke to him about my day. Muffins is a really great listener and there for me when my other friends can't be. I really needed to get my financial situation figured out.

Many times, I've thought about calling my mom or dad for help, but they've already done so much for me. They paid for college, my car, and for the first month of rent for this place, even though it meant I wouldn't be continuing in the family business. Speaking of college, I miss those days. All I did was repeat classes and sing with the Bellas. After I graduated, I dyed my hair blonde just because I felt like it. I miss having less responsibilities.

Beca's POV
The photo shoot is finally over, now we don't have to deal with that cute creature anymore. I seriously need to consult Miss White about this and what we can do better next time. Most of the things on my agenda for the day were finished, but it was already 6 PM. I wanted dinner, but I would probably need to make a reservation first. Walking out of the building of my company, I'm approached by two males, one asking for my autograph, the other just smiling. After saying sure to the guy, something is put over my mouth and all I see is darkness.

Chloe's POV
Yay, my last appointment is over! I finally get to eat dinner. It was only 6:30 PM and I called my friends to meet up for dinner, but they couldn't make it, so I decided to eat somewhere lowkey and small. I went to a restaurant near a bunch of apartments and storage buildings, which should've honestly been a red flag for me, but I'm too hungry to even think about my safety at the moment.

I ordered two cheeseburgers with french fries and a milkshake with a side salad because I'm also trying to stay healthy. It took me only a few minutes to finish my food, by the time I left, it was 6:55 PM. Unfortunately, I chose to ride my bike tonight and it's also raining, so I have to bike in the rain. Gosh Chloe why do you put yourself in these kind of situations? Guess I'm biking in the rain.

Beca's POV
Waking up, I remembered what happened and took in my surroundings. I've been kidnapped, by amateurs. I knew they were amateurs because the ropes tying me behind my back were already loose. My first attempt at trying to get out was easy because my hands were already free, I just needed to find the exit to this place, without attracting too much attention. Looking around, I finally found an exit directly behind me, but one of the men had noticed me being conscious and awake, coming towards me. When he came towards me, he asked, "Do you know why you're here?". I wanted to reply with a snarky remark, but before I could the man leaned in forward to probably kiss me, but I punched him before that was possible. After punching him, I ran towards the exit, throwing the chair I was sitting in at whoever I saw first. They all brought out guns and started shooting wherever they could. Fortunately, running away was easy, but unfortunately, I got shot.
