Chloe's POV
"I'm Chloe."

Really Chloe? That's all you could say? Nothing else? Maybe like I don't know, "Oh yeah and thank you by the way, I've been struggling a lot lately, you have no idea how much this means to me" or maybe just a simple "Thank you". Why do I make such a fool out of myself?

After telling Beca? Miss Mitchell? Wait is she married? Oh who knows. After telling CEO lady my name and extending my hand to try to shake her hand, she smiled and left. She ignored my hand and left into a car with another woman.

Thinking more about it. I should start packing up my things to move. I'm actually moving. Oh. My. God. I'm moving.

"MUFFINS! Muffs!" I started dancing joyfully realizing that I would get more clients.

I have to call my friends, so we can celebrate tonight. I'M MOVING OUT!!

Beca's POV
Chloe. C-H-L-O-E. Really nice, yet familiar name. I could've sworn I've heard that name somewhere before. It is a very common name and I probably just heard it somewhere in the industry.

I rushed finishing this contract thing I just proposed to her. She intrigued me, but that fluffy cat, Muffins had to go. I swear Muffins had it out for me. He was probably the reason why Chloe didn't get my contact information in the first place.

It was only minutes away until Chloe would be here to sign this last minute, rushed contract. I was anticipating seeing her again. Something about her personality pulled me in like a magnet. She was vibrant and her aura was very radiant. In fact, I could see her being one of my artists, if only she didn't care so much about those animals.

It's 8 PM and she still hasn't arrived. I've tried my best at staying patient and thinking positively, but it's been four hours. Four hours of waiting. Four hours full of disappointment. What a shame. I'm such an idiot. This is usually what happens when I think for a second to let someone in, to break down my walls. Just disappointment over and over again.

Chloe's POV

After having such an aca awesome time with my friends, I decided to go back to my apartment and finish packing. But when I got to my apartment, I kept getting distracted and told myself I'd have enough time to pack. I definitely did not.

Honestly I'm just tired. It is just 2 PM so I have like two hours left. Maybe.. I'll just nap for awhile. These past few days have been overwhelming.

Oh crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. It's 8 o'clock. IT'S ALREADY THE NEXT DAY. OH NO. Wait. Wait. Wait. It's still night. BUT THAT MEANS I OVERSLEPT BY FOUR HOURS. Shit. Miss Mitchell, Beca, CEO lady. I still have to pack. But she's not a very patient person. Do I have her contact info? I probably lost it. WAIT I'LL JUST SEARCH IT UP ONLINE.

Okay. Okay.

I hesitated calling, looking down at the numbers on my phone.

Woman up Chloe, you got this.

"Hello." Oh crap someone actually answered.

"Um yes can I.. I mean may I speak with Miss Beca Mitchell, the CEO?"

Why am I so awkward?

"Who is this?" the person on the other side of the line asked.

"Oh.. I-I'm Chloe. Chloe Beale. Miss Mitchell and I have a contract proposal thing going on."

Why did I say contract proposal?

"Hold on. Are you the vet from earlier today?"

Did this person know me?

"Yes. Yes I am."

"Miss Mitchell is rather dissatisfied and disappointed in your decision not to come. She thought her proposal was a great opportunity for you."

"Is Miss Mitchell still there? That's actually what I was calling for. Because well I kind of took a nap then overslept and now I'm just a huge mess."

"She is still here, but she's packing to go home at the moment."

This was my chance. I needed to talk to her whether it was on the phone or face to face.

"What's your name again?"

"Megan White."

"Okay Miss White. Can you please do me a huge favor?"

"What's the favor?"

"Tell Miss Mitchell what happened and that I'm still coming, just a little late.

That's ALL I ask for please. A second chance."

Beca's POV
Whew. What a long day. I just miss my beautiful, big home full of food and rooms with no one else there. Love being alone all the time. Note sarcasm.

I just want to sleep, have absolutely no work, and at least someone to hangout with once in awhile. Ugh. Life is hard.

"Miss Mitchell. There's someone very important on the phone right now." Megan said with a big smile, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Tell them I left." I definitely don't want to stay longer over here than I have to.

"It's too late. And I'm pretty sure talking to this person will make your day a little bit better." Sparking my curiosity, I answered the phone.

"Hello, Miss Mitchell of B.M. Records speaking."

"Hi Miss Mitchell, I know it's late but please don't leave yet. You see I went out with friends then I planned on packing but then I got tired and told myself 'only a few minutes or hours' or something and that turned into 8 PM, but I thought it was 8 AM, but then it was night and I realized how late I was and I'm really worried right no-."

This girl sure was a handful.

"So you fell asleep?"

"Yes and I'm so so sorry, just please give me another chance. I'll do anything. I'll even run to B.M. Records right now."

She's crazy, but it's kind of cute I guess.

"No need to do a that. Meet me tomorrow morning at 11 AM on the dot. By the way, there's a new small change in your contract. We can talk more about that tomorrow."

I had a plan.

"REALLY? Thank you, thank you, thankyou, thankyou. I will be there at 10 AM so I won't be late. Where exactly are we meeting at?"

I had no clue. Did she have any food allergies? I don't think so.

"We'll meet at Denbar Restaurant. My treat. I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight."

I hung up on her not wanting to further the conversation to leave room for her to reject me or to apologize to me again.

I hope this plan works.
