5. Almost there

I was at home, or the place i used to call home. I was staring at my wall with pictures as i so many times did before. But this time, it'll be the last time. Forever in the place.
I had my bag next to my really big suitcase. I started to take down all pictures and putted them in the bag. I already had my stuff i got from dad and family in there. I didn't want to leave this place. It was here we all lived once.
All my clothes was the big suitcase and there was also my drawings and my pens, my books and movies. There was so many stuff i wanted to take with me but i couldn't. Benny was waiting for me in the car. He was supposed to drive me to the airport and then i was gonna leave Sweden. Maybe forever?

I was actually excited to go there. Ive talked with Daniel and he was going to meet me at the airport in sidney. He said it would take me one day to fly over. I could take that. I pulled around the zipper on the bags and walked downstairs. This was one of the hardest things I've done in my life. Leave the house we all used to live in.
I said my last goodbye to the house and walked toward the car. I open the trunk and threw the bags and put me in the front seat.

"How ya feeling?" Benny said

"I don't know. Its weird. I will never see the house again..."

"I know how you're feeling" he said and i was prepared for a endless boring story. "When i lost my dad, mom and i moved-"

I didn't listen. I knew Benny and his endless talking. Benny was my mom's best friend. He was really close to dad too but on the last years; we haven't talked much. I wasn't about to tell him something about Daniel. They didn't understand each other and got in a fight almost every time. But i was kinda happy with Benny. We could talk much and laugh but you know, he's 45. Not that much in common with a 16 year old girl.

I could hear his endless talking but all i did was watching the view of Sweden. Its actually a really beautiful country. especially Skåne. Sweden's southernmost landscape. Its beautiful, its like Texas but smaller and wider.

I head Benny say "Ofelia?"

"What?" I said when i heard him

"I asked you a question!"

"Oh sorry, i was thinking about mom" i lied

"Oh... Im sorry" he said "i asked what you was going to do when you arrive to Sydney"

"Eh... Daniel's going to drive me to his place" i said

"Okay. You want to live with him?"

"Yea of course! His my brother" i said "he's amazing"

"So, i heard your brother got a band to work with"

"Yeah... I guess so"

"What was them called?" He said

"I don't remember but it was something with summer"

"Oh okay. Well text me when you know okay?"

"Okay" i said

Lately we arrived to the airport and i was actually excited to go on the plane. I haven't seen Daniel in few years and it would be amazing to meet him!

The clock was six and the plane was about to go eight. I was sitting and waiting alone. Benny drove home and i sat there. I was texting with the whatsapp group again.

Me: Guys I'm so excited seriously

Mel: it feels like I'm excited too omg

Me: hahaha thats weird

Mel: i know. Im the weirdest person you'll ever meet

Me: but now ill be so far way from you Mel

Mel: oh i didn't realise that

Me: me neither

Mariam: you are at the airport?

Me: yes

Nicol: omg what if you meet a celeb

Mel: lets hope she does

Me: yeah lets hope!

Mariam: whats the time change when you come to Sydney?

Me: I'll be eight hours ahead. Like when the clock is 12 in London its 9 there.

Mariam: so... Seven hours for me?

Me: yes

Mel: and eight for me

Me: yeah

Mel: great!

Me: i know right. I love you all

Mel: aww i love you too Lia

Mariam: i love you too Lilo

Me: lets party!!! (party emojis)

Mel: yes! Woop wopp

Mariam: it doest start yet! I haven't come in yet wait for me!

Me: how long?

Mariam: haha now! LETS PARTY!!!

I love those kind of people. Down to earth and oh my god just. I was thinking about the day i finally was going to meet them. That day!

I haven't heard anything from mom yet. I hope she's okay. Ive been really worried those last days. She's been on the hospital for some weeks now and I'm kinda used to it. Mom said she would make it without me, i just had to me safe. For some reason i felt more safe with my brother than with her. Ive always tried to not feel this but it was always there.

The clock went from six to eight really fast and suddenly they opened the gates. I took my back pack that i didn't check in and walked over to the woman. She scanned it and then i walked on the plane. I go the seat next to the window. I had my blue onepiece and my head phones. As the plane was about to lift i had to set my phone on airplane mood. It was actually really relaxing. Im going to flight 12 hours, maybe less. I started the music and slowly i fell asleep.
