Friends? Again [6]

They both paused, Kate looked up at him confused.
"I mean I ehh" Tanner tried justifying what he just said, realising maybe that was a bad idea.
"Tanner- I love you too" Kate said before adding "as a friend"
"Yea- that's what i meant too..." Tanner said with slight relief in his voice, what was he thinking I don't love her like that he thought to himself.
"I'm glad we can be - friends" Kate added before the conversation changed, Tanner gave Kate her things back before leaving,
"See you tomorrow?" Tanner said as he was walking out of the door, Kate smiled and said "See you tomorrow".

Kate's POV:
6:30 am
*ALARM* *ALARM*
ughhhhhh, it's too early...
Kate began to getting out of bed, struggling she managed to get to her feet, she walked to her bathroom to get ready.
"Thissss is the part when I say I don't wantt yaa" she sang in the shower along to the talented Ariana Grande.
*DING*
It was a text from Tanner: "Hey, pick you up at 8?"

7:00 am
Kate was now done drying her hair, ohhh my hair is looking good, she praised herself, as she looked over to her clock she thought I have time to put a little bit of makeup on.
7:30 am
Kate was done putting her subtle but beautiful makeup on, she went for the Kendall Jenner meets Selena Gomez natural makeup look.
Kate went over to her phone to see a text from Tanner, oh - she thought,
"Oh yea sorry I didn't reply sooner, would you mind? :)"
Not even a minute went by when *DING*
Tanner: "Omw!"
Oh shoot, I need to eat Kate rushed downstairs grabbing fruit that her mom had already cut up,
"THANKS MOM!!" Kate yelled to her mom
"BYE SWEETIE, I LOVE YOU" her mom yelled back from the upstairs office
"LOVE YOU" Kate said as she walked out the door, just on time, Tanner pulled up.
She jumped in his challenger, as Tanner was filming
"Hey" Tanner said to Kate
"Hey" she said back.
He continued to talk to his camera about his last vlog, he interrupted himself and began to speak about Kate
"Everyone in the comments are saying they want to see more of you, so here you are" he looked over at her facing the camera towards her "you look pretty btw" he added, making Kate blush,
"As opposed to any other day when i look like crap, right?" Kate said lighting the mood from the night before, they both laughed as Tanner continued to talk to his camera.

They pulled up to their school
"Hey you got study hall first?" Tanner asked
"No I have Chem"
"I'll see you at lunch then?"
"Yea sure" Kate smiled "oh thanks for the ride"
"Any time" he smiled back as they both got out of the car and walked in to school making small talk.

Kate's POV
"KATE - Kate- over here" Ashley said from the back of Chem class waving her hand, Kate smiled in her direction, making her way over past the obstacles of tables and chairs.
Kate filled Ashley in on everything that had happened between her and Tanner.
"So what happens now" Ashley asked curiously
"I guess we're just friends, same old - same old" Kate explained
"LADIES - in the back, stop talking" their Chem teacher Mrs brawn warned,
"Sorry" they said in unison, smiling at each other.

It was now Lunch, Tanner and Quentin we're already sat down, as Kate and Ashley approached to join them.
"Heey there" Quentin said in a funny voice
"Hi!" Ashley said to everyone
"Hey" Tanner added
And finally Kate "hey" Tanner looked up and smiled at her, she smiled back.
They engaged in conversation about their day and whatnot.
"Hey, we should get Dylan to come over to my house, as well as us four, and we can make a Q&A for my channel" Tanner suggested as everyone but Kate agreed.
"Kate?" Ashley asked before anyone else could
"I have homework" Kate tried to make an excuse
"So do we but cmon Kate, it'll be fun, I'll drive you home and everything" Quentin suggested
"You know you want to" Tanner teased
Kate chuckled, as everyone else started "cmon" "Kateeee" "you have to!!"
"Okay okay okay fine, I'll come" Kate finally agreed.

*RING* the bell rang for the last lesson.
"I'll drive you" Quentin looked over at Ashley and Kate
"Thanks" they both said.

4:00 pm
"Get in losers we're going SHAPPING" Quentin said in a funny voice as he pulled up in front of Kate and Ashley, they both laughed at his wittiness, Kate got in the front seat and Ashley got in the back.
"Is Tanner at the house already?" Ashley asked Quentin
"Yea he didn't have last period so he went to get ready for the vid" Quentin explained
It wasn't a long drive from School to Tanner's house, so they got there pretty fast.

"WELCOME BACK GUYS, I'm here with my boyfriend Quentin, and my other boyfriends Ashley and-" he looked over at kate "- Kate" he smiled. He continued to explain his day for a little bit before starting on the questions.
"Where's Dylan nowadays? - I don't know, I invited him over for this video, but -" Quentin interrupted him "- He's a busy guy" he said sarcastically, as everyone laughed. Some questions later Quentin said "let me read the questions" Tanner passed him his phone -
A few questions went by before he came across this question -
"When are you (Tanner) getting together with Kate?" Quentin laughed
Kate looked wide eyed at him
"We're friends okay-" Tanner suggested to the camera "- next question"
"There's a lot of questions about Kate" Quentin stated as he scrolled through the phone.
"Kate - do you like Tanner?" Quentin made up the question for Kate pretending to read it
"Oh wow" Kate rolled her eyes and forced a laugh.
Slight moment of awkwardness passed through the room
"ANYWAY THATS IT FOR THIS VIDEO-" he stopped.
Everyone looked confused at each other,
Tanner looked over to Kate, smiled and continued "- I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED IT SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS IF YOU DID LEAVE A LIKE AND COMMENT AND I'LL SEE YOU GUYS IN THE NEXT ONE, PEACE OUT" he did his outro looking at Quentin to finish it "-IT AINT MY FAULT".

Some time went by as they hung out at Tanners Ashley left first.
"Kate you still want that ride?" Quentin asked
"Oh yea sure, let's go" Kate sprung to her feet.
Quentin went out of the room to get his stuff from upstairs, Kate began to follow when Tanner grabbed her hand.
"Huh?" Kate said as she turned around
Tanner grabbed her and kissed her unexpectedly - she was reluctant at first but she kissed him back.
"KATE" Quentin yelled for her at the door "READY TO GO?"
they stopped.
"See you tomorrow?" Tanner asked
"See you tomorrow." Kate smiled as she ran up to the door and into Quentin's car.

(Ps lol i realised that I switched from first person to third throughout the story, I forgot i did that lol, I'll go back to first person so then i can do pov's of the characters. This one kinda sucked i know lol i promise I'll make it better. Thanks for reading ♡ - K)
