Falling for you [3]

He leans in slowly, is this really happening? Suddenly the door leading in to the garden swings open and the automatic lights expose us on the tramp - its his mom - he bolts up, unpinning me. "Oh..." Tanners mom says "I didn't know.." she tries to explain "I'm sorry" she continues. "Mom this is Kate, Kate this is my mom" Tanner embarrassingly introduces us "hello Kate" she says "nice to meet you mrs.Braungardt" I shout out, she approaches me and shakes my hand "please, call me Kim" she insists, i smile at her "so, I'll let you get back to your date" she looks at Tanner. "Mom no- " Tanner tries "this isn't a date-" i try to help "we're just friends" Tanner insists, "–well, okay" his mom says awkwardly as she enters back in to the house.

"I'm sorry about that" Tanner apologised turning back to face me while rubbing the back of his neck, "it's alright" I force a laugh. "It's getting late - I should get going" I say "Oh- yeah sure okay" he says with disappointment, I knew he wanted me to stay but it was better for me to get going, this way it won't be as awkward, since we we're going to kiss but didn't... He insisted to give me a ride back home even tho it was a 5 minute walk.

We arrived to my house "oh you can just stop here" I direct him, he pulls up in my drive way "thank you - for coming over and making my day a little less suckish" he chuckles, I smile at him, "see you tomorrow" I say as I unbuckle my seatbelt and reach for the door "- Kate wait"  he grabs my hand. I stop, and look back at him, the car is dark the only source of light provided are the street lights creating a dark silhouettes of him and I with some visible features. "About what happened- or what was going to happen" he begins "Oh, we don't have to-" i try to avoid the conversation, "I'm sorry, if i made you uncomfortable" he apologises "you didn't" I consult him "I'm glad" he says with relief, his hand still holding on to mine "Okay well thanks for the ride" I smile at him, "I'll walk you to your door" he insists "Umm okay" I didn't try to convince him not to, in fact i was hoping he would come with me.

We walked on to my porch, it was dark but light enough to be able to see all of his features, i could feel him looking at me, i turn to face him "well, this is me" I direct my hand towards the door, "I had fun" he says "me too" I agree. We both smile at each other "okay, I'll see you tomorrow Tanner" I unlock the door and begin to open it, I feel Tanners hand grab mine, he spins me back around to face him "what are you doi-" his lips crash in to mine cutting off my sentence, his hands rap around my waist and he pulls me closer to him so our bodies touch. Wow... He kissed me. My eyes close as I rap my hands around his neck - After awhile I broke the kiss, I looked at him in astonishment "umm" I take a deep breath... "See you tomorrow" I turn around and run inside. He kissed me... me? I HAVE TO TELL ASHLEY. I call Ashley and tell her everything that happened, she freaks out of course
Me: "Okay, but what does this mean?"
Ash: " Well he definitely likes you thats for sure"
-I hear my moms car pull up outside-
Me: "Hey ash, my moms here I gotta go, talk tomorrow, bye"
Ash: "byeeee"
[call ended]
I go downstairs to greet my mom and talk to her for a little bit.
*ding*
Tanner: "I hope you know that was me getting back at you for laughing at me ;)"
Me: "I figured"

Tanner's pov:
Me: "I think I'm falling for you way faster than i thought I ever would, you make me feel different, I think I'm falling in love with you"
I didn't send it of course, I wanted to, really badly, but I didn't want to scare her away, she might not feel the same since we only properly met recently.

Kate's pov:
He didn't reply... I waited, but he didn't reply.
-few hours later-
*ding*
Tanner: "Hey sorry, Quentin came over and I got distracted, goodnight little lady. You should come over again soon ;) and maybe I'll get back at you again"
