ALVEAR

After the day where I told my parents that I would go back to the Philippines with them, we stayed for three more days in America until this day.

Yes, today is the day that I'll be going back to the place I left five years ago.

"Allyson, nak." Mama said and I looked at her.

Right now, we're at the airport, sitting at the benches waiting for our flight to be called.

Dad is also coming with us today but he's not here because he's busy checking our luggage.

You wouldn't believe it but I have brought all of my stuff and that's what exactly Mama did, too.

"Yes, Ma?" I said, looking at her.

"Are you sure about this?" She asked.

I looked at her and went silent for a bit, thinking hard if I really want to go back but I smiled and nodded.

I am here, what else can I do? And besides, I did this for Mama. There's no turning back.

Yesterday, I went to Lily's again and bid my goodbye to Lily.

As expected, Lily cried in front of me and hugged me for like an hour and finally accepted my decision saying that I'm strong enough to have decided to go back.

I also bid my goodbye to the people I have been with at all my photo shoot. The A team, my team who's been assisting me at my pictorials and fashion show.

I will surely miss all of them.

I left my cars under Lily's care and as per the house and my condo unit, Dad left them under his most trusted associate.

We had pretty much all taken cared before today came so I need not worry anymore.

"Of course, Ma." I answered, "don't worry about me. I'm sure and ready." I added.

Am I, really?

"Thank you." Mama said and held my hand.

"No need to thank me, Ma." I said smiling.

Mama just smiled and tightened her grip.

...

"That's our flight." Dad said and true enough, I've heard a voice saying our flight's informations.

"Let's go?" Mama asked and I nodded.

But before walking, I spared one glance at the place.

Goodbye, America.

"Shall we?" I said and both my Mom and Dad nodded at me.

We then started to walk with my Mama holding Dad's hand.

"Hooo." I sighed.

...

"Please turn off all of your devices as the plain is about to take off." The flight attendant reminded us.

"You should sleep, nak. The flight is a bit long." Mama said.

I don't think I can sleep.

"You sleep first, Ma." I said.

Mama just nodded before she put on her neck pillow and eye mask. Beside her was my Dad who's been asleep after we settled to our seats.

Dad must have been tired because for the past three days, he finished all of the works and documents he needed to do.
