Two friends were having a random conversation when the topic of marriage came up.
One friend said to the other: "what kind of man do you want to marry?"
She replied "ooooh he must be handsome *blush* and oh very wealthy, highly qualified and he has to have a really nice body. He should have his own house and one of the latest cars. I'll be happy with all that. Oh and he must be loyal!"
Her friend sat next to her staring at her as she spoke.. And then asked " what about piety?"
She looked stunned and said "what about piety? As long as he's muslim! I won't dare marry a kaafir!"
Her friend looked at her and said in the most gentle tone "if he is not loyal to Allah, how will he be loyal to you?"
Be a person who fears Allah and is loyal to Him, and wish to marry a person who fears Allah, the one who is doesn't have love for Allah, how will He love you?
Because remember there are two kinds of love which will never cause you sadness,
1. Love Allah
2. Love for the sake of Allah
May Allah subhaanahu wata'ala bless us with such spouse, who loves Him and is loyal to Him and who would love us for His sake and be loyal to us because he/she fears Allah's wrath and loves us to please his Lord. Ameen.
