No one braced me for your departure.
I hope you know it by now.
I remember your face through a haze of good and bad moments that I keep safe in my heart like necklace I would kill anyone trying to steal it from me without even thinking twice.
I hope you know it by now.
I sometimes recall the feeling of your cold hand on the warm flesh of my own where the ink of your mark has now permanently stained me.
I hope you know it by now.
I will never forget your last words; that last call I accidentally hung up; the way my heart was beating while I was searching for you through the whole town and that last memorable smile following a heartwarming hug that you offered me beside your fathers car when I finally found you.
However, I can't remember me doing the one thing I should have done a million times.
I can't remember me telling you that I love you.
And I hate myself for this, so much.
I hope you know it by now.
Now I'm in the graveyard weeping silently so that my family won't hear me, trying to cover up the hole your loss has left in me.
My heart will always belong to you my friend.
I hope you know it by now.~Eleni🦄~
