When I woke up in the morning, downstairs I saw a ready-to-eat meal and asked myself, “an omelette-rice with some vegetables and a coffee for a drink. Who made this?” And then I just remembered that I started living with a guy I named “Kai” since yesterday. “I’m already starving” I thought, so I decided to eat the food in front of me.  I’m wondering where Kai could have been. Maybe he is taking a walk, trying to get familiar with this place already.

After eating my breakfast, I went outside with my coffee and saw Kai talking to my neighbour named Michael.

“Oh a new neighbour. Who might you be?” he asked him.

“Good day. I’m Kai and I’m currently living here with Lillian.” he replied.

“I see. Are you by any chance lovers?” he curiously asked. Lillian accidentally spit her coffee when she heard that weird question from Michael.

“N-No. You got it wrong. Due to some circumstances I need to stay with her.” he said with a flushed face.

Because of embarrassment, I disturbed their conversation by calling him from the yard. “Kai! What are you doing!? Come here, we need to talk!” I yelled at him. It’s not that I don’t have manners but I don’t want my neighbours to start rumours about us. “Okay I’m coming!” he shouts. “Please excuse me. What’s your name?” he asked the young man.

“Oh by the way, I’m Michael. It is nice meeting you Kai.” He replied.

“I’m sorry. Let us talk again sometime” Kai kindly replied.

He rushed home, hoping Lillian would not be angry at him.

“Lillian, I’m sorry” he said. “I was just having a little walk outside when a neighbour decided to talk to me.”

Yes I saw him. What an honest guy he is. “It’s fine actually. It is good that you want to be familiar with our place as soon as possible.” I said. “We need to think about how can I return you to your family. I don’t have any clue who they may be.” We are totally clueless.

As he glares at me while saying those words, I can sense that he is feeling sorry for me. “I’m sorry if I am such a burden for you. If only this wouldn’t have happened, then you don’t have to deal with me for too long.” He said. For a moment, I feel like cheering him up a bit by saying it’s alright, since I can handle my schooling, my housing, and being a secret novelist at the same time. I think him being added is not that much of a hassle. It is also my fault that something like this happened so I should take responsibility.

“Okay let’s stop thinking about these things for now. We need to buy some of your personal needs at the mall.” I said. There he goes with his down face again, thinking I shouldn’t waste my allowance just for him. I glared at him and said, “I told you it’s alright. Let’s get going.” He smiled and replied, “Thank you, Lillian.”

Meanwhile at Kai’s residence, his bodyguard Lennon, whom he was with before the accident reported to his father, the boss of a Novel Company, Kean Hanes.

“Sir Kean! I looked around the whole city but I can’t seem to find Sir Sean!” as Lennon shouted at his boss.

“Tone down your voice a bit. Calm down Lennon, will you?” Kean calmly said. “Tell me what happened.”

“I’m sorry Sir. The truth is, people from the city told me when I described Sir Sean that a rich good-looking young man was involved in an accident with a young woman with the same age yesterday” he said.

“What!? Do you have any proof that Sean was the victim they are talking about?” he replied angrily.

“Yes Sir. They referred me to the city’s police station. There I found Sir Sean’s wallet. The police also told me that the victims were brought at the nearest hospital. ” Lennon respond.

“So, do you have any idea where he is now?” he asked.

“One of the nurses told me that he is with Lillian Dane. I think I heard her name before, I just can’t remember where.” Lennon said.

“L-Lillian Dane? She is our top novelist you idiot!” he yelled at him. “She is supposed to be Sean’s wife in the near future!”

Lennon is shocked, looking like an idiot for a minute there. He forgot that yesterday is supposed to be their marriage interview. He even forgot Lillian’s name. What an idiot he is.

“So what are we going to do, Sir?” he idiotically asked.

“Let them be. This could be a good chance for them to have a good friendship that may lead to their romance since they still don’t know each other yet.” With a good strategy, Kean asked Lennon not to interfere with his plan.

“Let the fun begin.”
