Emily's POV
I tried to push the thought of my mother out of my head.
But she kept coming back to me.
The event still played over and over in my head.
Allison and I were playing around with our bow and arrow back then. Gosh, we were so young!
I remembered the arrow piercing through my mother's heart.
At first she was stunned, then fell to the ground.
My father rushed up to the incident and tried his best to save her, but it was too late.
Her last words were ' I love you '. But how could she love me, us, when we had done that to her?
We were so young. So innocent. So dangerous.
I woke up with sweat running down my back and checked the alarm clock '07:00.' Allison and I got up, finished our morning routines and were off to school.
Allison's POV
"Yes Dad, I understand...No Dad, we won't!"I say to my overprotective father as he tests my patience and trust me, he's succeeding and is getting on my nerves!
Emily is tapping her foot agitatedly like she can't wait to get our schedules and get to our classes. I must say she actually likes school, unlike me.
Or maybe... maybe she just needs to pee?
She opens up her backpack and scrounges through it while I am still trying to convince my father that we'll be fine.
"Damn it!"I hear her mumble.
She looks at me and then my phone that I am clenching with my fist, waiting for our father to realise that we are not 5 anymore.
"Dad, we are mature, responsible 16 year olds and- " before I could finish she grabs the phone out of my hands.
"Thanks Dad! We'll be fine. Love you!" she said before quickly and violently ending the call.
"Nice!" I say, giving her a high five.
"Now, we have a problem! I've packed everything in besides a freakin' pen" she implied like it was the end of the world.
I look through my bag noticing that there was no pen either.
I shrug my shoulders then get up to enter the school with Emily behind me ranting about the pen and also that she needed to pee, I knew it!
We go to the registration office and received our schedules, locker numbers and more. Emily excitedly takes them and starts to look through everything. She has always had everything organised... she has super OCD!
Scott's POV
"As you all know, there was indeed a body found in the woods last night. And I'm sure your eager little minds are coming up with macabre scenarios as to what happened. But I am here to tell you that the police have a suspect in custody. Which means that you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus which is on your desk, outlining this semester,"our lame-ass teacher tells us as I sigh, not interested at all.
"Hey, Stiles, do you have a pen?" I whisper to him.
"Yeah, why?"
I indicated with a nod of my head and a flutter of my eyes towards where the two girls were leaving.
Alexis tried to get my attention by waving and calling my name, but I didn't answer.
"I heard their conversation, I may have superhuman hearing!" I guess with a slight chuckle.
