Emily's P.O.V

"Are you hungry?" Aria asks. I'm not sure who she was asking.

"Yeah, I feel like K.F.C." He speaks, racing through a red light. This is very dangerous.

"I wasn't talking to you, nobody cares how you are." She spits making him smile a little. It's confusing thinking that they two are related in any way. Aria turns to face me.

"Yeah, I am a little." I smile, holding my stomach.

"K.F.C it is then." He speeds up the car. I don't want to know what speed we are going at.. I hope we don't run into anyone. Or the police. We rolled up at a K.F.C restaurant next to a gas station.

"I know a guy who works here." He stopped the car in the parking lot. "I get a free bucket of chicken." He laughs.

"We don't need a free bucket if chicken, I've got my credit card." She steps out of the car after Tyler. I step out soon after and we enter together. I couldn't help but notice how tall he is. It wasn't soon when we were approached by a group of men dressed similar to Tyler besides the one in a K.F.C uniform.

"Tyler." A deep voice called from the group. His head snapped towards the men and went to greet them.

"Ayyy!" He spoke. I look at Aria but she was too focused on the men.

"Aria, long time no see." Another man approached her to give her a hug.

"Don't touch me, Gavin." She stepped back a little. So she knows these people?

"Feisty, just like how I remember you." He laughs.

"I heard you broke it with Andy, so you are available then." Another one steps towards her.

"Ay, that's my sister." Tyler growls, warning them to back off. They laugh and join in with the group discussion with the other guys. I am grateful that they haven't noticed me... Yet.

"Which on is this." The guy in the uniform shouts, rudely.

"Aria's friend, Sydney." He winks at me. I frown and he chuckles.

"I'm only joking, her name is Emily." He moves towards a booth. I sit near the widow. I could see the dark clouds moving in quickly. It's gonna rain. Tyler and his friends sat in same booth as us. I squished against the wall and Tyler. They talked amongst themselves. They must've not seen each other in a while because they won't shut up about things from last year and what they've missed. 3 buckets of chicken have been ordered and I haven't managed to get a single piece. Time flew by quickly and the boys have left us three alone.

"Finally.." I mumble as Tyler moves down the seat of the booth.

"I need to piss, be right back." She rushed towards the toilet leaving me and Tyler alone.

"Aria said to not toy with you but I really want to get to know you, Emily." He smile. That's really... Sweet. I nod, not knowing what to say.

"Give me your number?" he asks, picking out his phone. There is no harm done if I do. I give him my number and he gives me his. Before Aria comes back.

"Anything happen while I was gone?"

"Nah." He sat back in his seat. We talked for a while before exited the restaurant. The rest of the way home was fast. We got there in a matter of minuets due to the breathtaking speed we were going at. I refused to let Tyler drop me outside my house, I refuse to let him see where I live. Aria already knows that I am an orphan and I am thankful that she will never judge me. He stops rapidly at a bus stop causing me to jump forwards. I regret not putting on a seatbelt.

"Thank you for the lift." I smile.

"No problem, Amy." He smirked at me through the streak free rear view window.

I frown for a second then it hit me that he was joking, hopefully. I remove myself from the heavy chunk of metal. I waved goodbye to Aria before they vanished down the road. I walk carefully home, not wanting to bump into Harry or his girlfriend. I safely pass his house and was at mine in a matter of minuets. I fiddle with the keys and the door swings open. The racket booming from the house isn't as loud as I remember. I think it's swimming lessons today so a a fair amount of the kids must been out. I stride to the kitchen as my stomach roars. I haven't ate anything all day. I look into the small refrigerator in the corer of the tiled room. Left-over spaghetti was all that look appetising at the moment. I grabbed a plate and took a small portion. I sat on the deserted, round table. A few kids ran past me but they didn't give me a second glance. My plate was half finished, I didn't really feel like eating anymore. Thinking about Harry and Layla was all I could think about. At least me and Harry will alone tonight. I don't intend to do anything with him.. I just want it to be like the good days when we were super close. I threw the other half of my spaghetti away and set my plate in the sink.

Now I need to know how this plan is gonna work. Maybe I could sneak out the front door. Or get the full experience and climb down a window? That's a bit extreme but this is my first and most likely my last time doing this so I'm gonna go with the full experience. I will climb down my window at 11 when everyone is asleep. I will keep some rope in the bush near my window or in my bag. What if Harry see's the rope and gets a bit freaked out? Or what if someone takes the rope from the bush? I will rather someone take the rope than Harry think I'm a bit weird so I will leave it in the bush. I will get to Harry's before midnight and come home safe and sound early in the morning. Oh and I will have to put something under my quilt so it looks like I am sleeping. This plan is so cliche but it will have to do.

I rush to the closet under the stairs that held everything to brooms to shoes. I opened the creaky door to find one of the kids, hiding.

"What are you doing?" I hiss. He backed up closer to the corner.

"I mean, are you okay?" I remember some of these kids have come from abusive homes and get scared easily. I hold out my hand but he didn't accept it. Rude much? He shook his head lightly.

"I'm hiding." I rolls my eyes.

"Obviously.. But why?"

"I'm playing hide and seek and you are blowing my cover." He spits.

"Found you!" Another kid pushes past me. He sighs loudly and nudges my hip as he walks past me. I wish other teenagers lived here so I could relate someone. I reach for the chunky rope that use to be the hammock we had outside and a large hook that Charlie uses for fishing trip. I'm gonna have to climb up and down this last minute invention. I was never really good at gym so this will be a challenge.

I walk up the stairs and push past the kids in my way, hoping they won't see the items in my hand. I safely reach my room and lock the door behind me. Woah, I'm actually doing this. Yes, Emily you are.

I sit on my bed and attempt to attach the two items. It didn't take long, they fitted together perfectly. I tuck away the hook and rope on top of my polished wood wardrobe.

I'm so nervous, I've never done anything like this before. I look at my phone, it's already 9. Time flies by quickly. They must already be home.
