The Fate of Zootopia

Nick opened his eyes as he felt someone pulling on his ear. "Go away. Let me sleep" he groaned, pulling the blanket over his head.

"Get up Nick! We have to go soon if we want to eat lunch in the city"

Hearing Judy's sweet voice her slowly pulled the blanket off his head and glared at her playfully. "Fine. But I need at least an hour to get ready"

Judy laughed and rolled her eyes "Fine you take longer than I do" she then left the room. She then walked into the kitchen and grabbed the necessary ingredients to make breakfast.

By the time Nick was out of the shower and fully dressed Judy had prepared an amazing breakfast that consisted of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage, biscuits, and fruit salad of course the meat was fake. She had also done a load of dishes, set the table, and poured them each a glass of orange juice.

"Wow! Did I take that long?" Nick looked over to the happy, though slightly annoyed bunny.

"Yes, yes you did. But don't worry you can make it up by doing the rest of the dishes once we are done eating." She smirked.

Nick laughed and grabbed his plate off the semi-large dining room table. He piled a mountain of food onto his plate which was made with five pieces of bacon, four sausage patties, four eggs, two biscuits, two pancakes, and a small side bowl of fruit salad. Meanwhile Judy had a small bowl of fruit salad and some Greek yogurt. After gulping down his food, Nick went back for seconds, the second plate piled just as high as the first. "This is delicious carrots! Thanks for cooking." He looked over to find her chair empty and her dishes on the table. "Carrots?" He looked around the room not spotting the small bunny. He stood up starting to get worried. "Carrots! Where'd ya go?" He poked his head into the kitchen, then he walked down the hallway and checked the rooms. Finally, he knocked on the bathroom door and was greeted by a soft voice saying "I'm a bit busy in here". He smiled, releasing a small breathe that he had been holding in. Knowing Judy was safe he continued to devour his second helping of food.

Judy returned a few minutes after Nick had finished his food. He began to clean up the large breakfast as Judy sat on the couch and turned on the Tv so they could watch the Zootopia news.

"This has been nice Nick, thanks for letting me tag along."

"My pleasure hopps. Got to make sure my partner gets some rest otherwise you would be useless" He chuckled as she playfully glared at him then the both continued their current tasks.

After a few minutes Nick had finished loading the dishwasher and putting the remaining food away, what little was left. He then went and got his suitcase, and placing it next to the front door.

Suddenly Judy turned the Tv up really loud and told Nick to come look at it.

'Hello, My name is Leona Lepordita and be bring you some breaking news! Tonight a tiger was murdered at a downtown strip club. It is said that the tiger was a known as Malcer the leader of a small gang from the area. The killer was not seen by anyone at the club, but the killer didn't leave with very quickly. A note was found on the tigers body saying 'Slowly one by one I will pick them off, those to come and get in my way will surely pay the price, Zootopia is on its way to becoming my play device. The ZPD is on the case and advices all residents of Zootopia to remain calm and keep a look out for anyone suspicious. Thank you, now for the weather.'

Judy turns the Tv off and looks at Nick, they stare at each other utterly speechless for a few moments before Judy gets a phone call. She quickly grabs her phone and answers it. "Hello?"

A sweet, light hearted voice is heard from the other end. "Hello Judy, Chief Bogo would like you and officer wilde to come in immediately."

Judy nodded "Sure thing Clawhauser, we should be there in about two hours, we are out of town right now."

"Sure thing Judy I will inform the chief."

Judy hung up and looked at Nick. "We have to go ASAP"

Nick nods realizing this is bad and grabs his and Judy's suitcase then walks out the door, allowing Judy to lock it behind him as they start to walk towards the bus stop.

(Hello! I know this is a short chapter but I feel like this is a good place to end. Next chapter will be when the drama begins MWAHAHAHA. I apologize for the delay I have been totally out of it due to vacation and Christmas. But I will try and get my chapters out more consistently. Thank you for your patience.)
