The Fate of Zootopia

Benched for now

Judy and Nick walked quickly through the ZPD swinging doors. Both in full police uniforms. They had quickly dropped everything off at Nick's house, luckily Judy had brought her uniform just in case so they both changed at Nicks before speeding off to the ZPD headquarters.

"Nick, Judy. Chief Bogo would like to see you two in his office immediately." Clawhauser said with a slightly worried look as the duo sped past him.

They glanced at each other before pushing open the door to chief bogos office.

"Officer Hopps, Officer Wilde. Take a seat" The duo sat down in the large chairs then looked at the chief who was sitting at him desk with her hooves interlocked in front of him. "As I am sure you have heard there has recently been a murder that has many citizens of Zootopia worried for the safety of this city. I don't want a big deal made out of this it needs to be kept calm and small. For now I am going to send in another team to investigate further due to the recent media attraction you two have had. Never the less I want you two to do some research and see if there are any connections from this case to others. Don't worry I will allow you into the field but not until it is absolutely necessary." The chief stood up, so did the dynamic duo with Judy nodding.

"You can count on us sir"

"Good, now go already"

The two left the office leaving chief bogo to stare out the window in deep thought.

"Ugh, we can't even go out into the field?! Stupid media ruining everything." Nick huffed as he followed behind Judy

"Calm down Nick, we are just as important when we are doing research." Judy smiled trying to calm the fox.

"Ya well, we could solve the case in less than 24-hours I bet. No more mammals would be injured." Judy frowned but didn't say anything. She soon began typing away at a small computer Nick sitting next to her in a plastic chair from the break room.

After a few hours of research Judy and Nick didn't find any connection with any previous city wide threats or crime related incidents. Judy sighed, she hated coming up so empty handed after hours of work.

Nick frowned and put a paw on her shoulder "Hey don't worry about it Judy. We still have plenty of time."

Judy smiled at him as she jumped from the chair to the floor and looked up at her fox partner. "Ya, oh hey when can I get my stuff back?" They began to walk towards the ZPD doors and out onto the busy sidewalk.

"I can drop it off tomorrow morning, maybe pick you up along the way?"

Judy nodded. "Sounds good. See you tomorrow partner" Judy waved goodbye as she walked home, since her apartment wasn't too far away she enjoyed walking along the busy sidewalk.

She soon made it to her apartment where she opened up her front door and plopped onto the bed, she groaned as she got up and closed the front door, locking it, then plopping back down. She ignored the fact that she hasn't eaten in a few hours, or that she needed to call her parents. Instead she slept. A deep, peaceful sleep.
