Rey (Part 2)

Rey's POV:

Finn and (y/n) and I are now crawling through the bowels of the ship hearing Han trying to talk his way out of something.

Rey: Is your dad usually able to talk his way out of things?

(Y/n) looks at me with a mischievous smile.

(Y/n): He's known for it.

All of a sudden we hear things start to escalate so we crawl even faster. We come across a mechanical box that is connected to all the doors, I start fiddling around with it to try and block the guys who are after Han but end up opening....a different door. We start hearing roaring.

Rey: Uh oh.

Finn: What?

Rey: Wrong door.

(Y/n): Please tell me you didn't just release the rathtars.

Rey: .......

We pop out of the vent at the exact wrong time....a rathtar spots us and starts crawling very fast towards us. Finn and I grab (y/n) hands and sprint as fast as our legs would carry us in the other direction. Eventually we reach a fork.....both have rathtars.

Rey: Finn, take (y/n) and find Han I'll try to distract them.

Finn: What!? Are you insane!? We are not splitting up!

We hear another roar and I push Finn in the other direction and look to see if I can find another outlet. Then I hear Finn and (y/n) screaming so I abort my plan and head in their direction. I see Finn still holding onto (y/n) but also being taken by a rathtar.

Finn: REY! TAKE (y/n)!

I run as fast as I can towards Finn and grab (y/n) out of his arms and run with her back to the outlet to try and trap the rathtar with Finn in it. I put (y/n) and open the outlet, fiddling with it. I end up cutting the rathtars arm off with Finn in it. I grab (y/n) again and we meet up with Finn.

Finn: IT HAD ME....THEN THE DOOR-

Rey: THAT WAS LUCKY!

Your POV:

I'm still in Rey's arms until we come across another rathtar who then of course goes for me, prying me out of Rey's arms, I'm screaming and so are Rey and Finn.

Finn: STOP TRYING TO EAT US!

I manage to wiggle out of its arms, getting bitten in the process. Finn catches me and we run and run until we get back into the Falcon, hoping that dad and Chewy weren't far behind. Finn lays me on a couch in the middle of the ship and Rey goes to get the first aid kit. I hate to admit it but I am crying a bit, it really hurts.

Finn: Hey it's ok, I know it hurts but- look! Here comes Rey with the first aid kit! She'll patch ya right up!

Rey's POV:

I run in with the first aid kit and see (y/n) with a few tears in her eyes and I see Finn trying to make her feel better.

Finn: Rey will fix ya right up.

Finn then leans over to me and whispers-

Finn: You do know what you're doing right?

I nod and take out a roll of bandages. I pull down the shoulder of (y/n) shirt and see a nice sized gash in it with a decent amount of blood. I wet a cloth and press it to their shoulder.

Rey: This might sting a little.

I see them grit their teeth trying to look brave.

Rey: Hey, you don't have to be brave on our account, you know how many times I've cried when I've gotten hurt?

They shake their head.

Rey: A lot.

I see them start to chuckle a bit but still a few tears streaming down their face. I start to dab their wound when Han and Chewy come barging in.

Han: WHAT! THE! HELL! HAPPENED!? YOU CALL THIS LOOKING AFTER MY KID! FORGET THE NEAREST INHABITED PLANET! ILL JUST TOSS YA INTO OPEN SPACE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!

As Han is yelling Chewy is raising his crossbow and growling at us.

(Y/n): DAD! CHEWY! It wasn't their fault! In fact they saved me!

I see Hans and Chewys eyes immediately soften. Han walks over to me and takes the damp rag out of my hand and gives me a look like, I got this. Finn and I nod and walk out of the room.

Your POV:

The next morning I wake up with a sling on my arm and slowly walk to the cock pit where I see Rey talking to dad.

(Y/n): Morning.

They both look up and smile.

Dad: Morning sweetheart.

Rey: Morning cutie.

(Y/n): You think I could pilot for a bit? My arm is feeling loads better.

Dad: Let's wait a few more days ok?

Rey: Then you can show me how it's done.
