Ellie Willaims

You are pregnant with you and Ellie's child and today is the big day!

Ellies POV:
I woke up to the typical sound of y/n throwing up in the bathroom, I sigh, swing my legs over the bed and run to the bathroom where I pull her hair back and rub soothing circles into her back.  "Baby you really need to wake me up when you're like this," she just looks up at me with a tired smile and beads of sweat running down her forehead.  "I didn't want to wake you, thought I'd be a nice wife and let you sleep in since today's suppose to be my due date anyway and will probably be the last bit of sleep you get for...forever."  I chuckle and lead her back to the bed where I place a damp cloth on her head and snuggle in beside her.

Y/n POV:

I can't believe how lucky I am to have Ellie in my life, she's always been there for me, has made me feel loved and has always taken care of me.  I feel her arm around my belly with a protective hand over it as I shut my eyes to try to get some more sleep.

An hour or so later is when I start to feel the aching in my stomach, I was really hoping to let Ellie sleep a little bit longer but I guess this little one is ready to greet the world.  I shake Ellie awake and see her look at me with concern in her eyes as I give her a knowing look which is soon followed by my grimace and some pained gasping. 

Ellie's POV:

I try to remain as calm as possible as I race out of the bed, out the door and straight to the doctors house where I pull her as roughly as I can to get her to keep up with me.  We make it back to the house and up the stairs where I see my wife now completely covered in sweat, panting like a dog and curled into a ball on the bed.  I rush over to her and put a comforting hand on her forehead and wipe the sweat from her brow.  "Babe the doctors here, let's sit you up ok?  I know it hurts, just hang in there a little bit longer, grip onto my hand as hard as you want and keep your eyes on me.

Y/n POV:

I knew that childbirth was suppose to be painful but right now I feel like there are a thousand knives piercing me all over my body!  I look at Ellie who I can tell is trying not to look too freaked out but it's not working, the doctor finally tells me that it's time to push and that's when the real horror begins!  I try to do as Ellie said and squeeze her hand as tight as I can and just focus on her but the pain is too intense and unfortunately the medics we have don't like to as they say "waste" pain meds on women giving birth, well I'd like to say fuck that!!! 

Ellie's POV:

My poor baby is working so hard and I can tell that she is in a lot of pain, it is taking everything I have not to go running to the medical house with a gun and forcing them to give me the pain meds but instead I just whisper sweet nothings into her ear and brush her hair away from her face while peppering kisses on her nose. 

It's been 3 hours and there is still no sign of our baby, I'm trying to keep it together for y/n but I know something isn't right, I look to the doctor for confirmation and I am met with a knowing look that confirms my fears, she ushers me over so she can whisper to me without y/n hearing, "we have a problem, your baby seems to have the umbilical cord wrapped around her head, I'm afraid we're going to have to operate, it's too dangerous to move her now though so I'm going to need to get the supplies I need and bring them back here, just do your best to keep her calm." 

I can feel the color drain out of my face at the doctors words but I just nod and go back to y/n side and continue to comfort her.  After what feels like hours the doctor returns with her supplies and her team, it takes 3 people to get me out of the room as they are putting y/n under.

Y/n POV:

I feel unnatural light coming in through my eyelids but am reluctant to open them, they feel so heavy it's as if someone were sitting on them.  When I'm finally able to open them all the way I am greeted by an aching my belly and find that I am unable to sit up.  I look around my room and am greeted by the most beautiful sight I've ever seen, my wife Ellie and a little bundle in her arms, she notices I'm awake and quietly walks over with the tiny armful.

"Hey shhhh babe, you went through a lot today, just take it easy, but I wanted to introduce you to our daughter." 

I couldn't believe it, a daughter, in this bleak world as live in, some sunshine as finally peaked through, I put her little hand in mine and smile the brightest smile.

"Hello little one, welcome to the world, we're going to take such good care of you, I promise."

Ellie smiles and leans down to gently kiss me on the lips, "well, do we have a name for this beauty?"

I nod and smile "Jolean Maria Williams."
