As you slowly awakened, you felt refreshed, as if you've been asleep for weeks. You opened your eyes to a beige wall. You felt a small yet comfortable bed under your body. The coffee brown sheets and matching pillows were messed up into a rough pile on a white mattress. You looked around your unfamiliar surroundings, both startled and confused. The carpet under the bed was dirty white, and the walls were in a perfect square, each wall being 25-feet wide with a height of 35. In the center of the wall that was opposite of your bed lay a small, square window with cream-colored, sheet-like curtains that strung over it. You felt around your clothing which you had just now realized was different than before. You had black sweatpants, some boxer shorts, and a plain, white tee shirt.

After observing your surroundings for a bit longer, you stepped out of bed and almost fell. You seriously must've been asleep for at least 3-4 days. Your body felt almost new in a way. Once you stepped out of bed, this time more carefully, you stretched a bit and headed to the door that was placed on the wall in front of the foot of your bed. This door was made of dark oak, with beautiful carvings all over it. The silver, weird-shaped doorknob was placed in the middle-right. You were about to grab the knob, but you hesitate, realizing what one of your instructors taught you about five years ago.

Anything can be a trap. Always be wary.

You step back and concentrate. It took a bit more effort, as your abilities had probably been a bit... Deflated from your rest. Nothing some training can't help. The door pushed open to a hallway, which colors matched the walls of the room. It wouldn't have taken a genius to figure out you're in a small hotel. Shutting your door, you hesitantly approach your bright window, slowly reaching out and tossing aside the curtains. You looked out to a bright and bustling city - a city of which you were unfamiliar with, of course. You could see a giant clocktower far away from your hotel, with red, double-decker busses traveling about. It looked like the weather was cold. Not snowy cold, but jacket cold. You then hear a faint knock on your door. You turn and cautiously opened the door, opening to an Omnic robot. This one was a Bastion unit, straight from the Omnic Crisis. It had an intercom on the right side of its head, which made a loud-pitched squeak noise before a familiar voice overshadowed it.

This voice was the voice of Neuro, the new head of the Omnics, and your primary caretaker. He always had a voice like silk. The second anyone would hear that voice, they'd calm down instantly.

"My dear [Y/N]. How wonderful of an apprentice you've been. You've been through harsh training over the years, and for what seemed to be no avail. Alas, my child, this is not the case. You see, you may or may not have heard of the organization known as the Overwatch. They are the true reason for the disappearance of your family. Society will always, always blame it on us, but they separated you when they stood in our way many years ago.", his smooth voice informed. The message sank into your head, triggering an angry hatred within. "This... Clan of quote-unquote heroes has caused families to perish and rot. We need to put an end to these criminals; however, it's not as simple as it may sound. They've gotten stronger. Faster. Sturdier. That's why we've been training you for so long, [Y/N]. You're better than all of those... Freaks. We need you to destroy the Overwatch. Once and for all."

Neuro's orders flew amongst your brainwaves, feeding the hatred for the Overwatch organization more and more. Tears flooded your eyes as the intercom shut off, signaling the Bastion unit to leave. It turned and strutted down the hallway, leaving you, and you alone, to your thoughts.
