When you awoke, you were back in your bed, only this time surrounded by Omnics. They were all peering down at you with the weirdest looks. It was as if they were curious, anxious, proud, and disappointed at the same time. Confused and scared, you tried to fall back asleep, but failed. Suddenly, you began to hear loud rummaging noises coming from the distance. A masculine-sounding Omnic voice started to approach you.
"You... You unloyal, unfaithful, human weakling!" The voice was coming from a muscular crimson-and-black Omnic wearing light grey pants. This one walked on its two robot feet, unlike the others, who used their mind to float above the ground. He approached you with the uttermost anger and frustration. "You had one simple job -- Eliminate the agents of Overwatch, and you ruined it!"
The Omnic had risen his hand as if he were to hit you, but just then, a white-and-gold Omnic hand had been placed on the crimson one's shoulder. The crimson one growled and stepped aside, revealing Neuron in the flesh... Well, in the metal. He wasn't particularly muscular, but a gold, lightning-like aura pulsated around his body. He wore an Egyptian pharaoh headdress and a golden robe. He crossed his arms behind his back as he hovered in a criss-cross position. The other Omnics made way, bowing ever-so-low in the presence of their leader.
"Do not alarm the child, Mardou.", Neuron said with his reassuring voice of silk before turning his head to face you. You, still lying down and confused, had no reaction other than fear, hoping that you hadn't angered the great Neuron. "My deepest apologies, child. My assistant, Mardou, can get very... How shall I put this... Wound up. However, that's not of the current matter. No need to fret, dear boy. I am not disappointed. Nor am I angered by your actions. Last nights doing was completely understandable, for it was your first time completing a mission alone. The mission's instructions were... Shall we say... Unclear. As you were released into the world last night, I came to a realization. Though, it was still blurry. Thus, I meditated upon it and after a few hours, my answer became as clear as glass. I needed to rethink the mission I gave you. It needs to be more elaborate. The Overwatch deals with attacks frequently. I'm sure you won't be an exception to them. Throughout my thought process, one particular method struck me like lightning." He paused and looked down into your eyes, sending chills up your spine. "Dear child, I want you to become very close friends with the Overwatch members. Very, very close friends. I need you to obtain as much information about them as possible. I know it'll be tough, but I believe in you. Once the entire team has your undoubted and complete trust is when you annihilate them from the inside out. This mission will take quite a while but after all, time is what glues every living thing together.", One of his servants handed him a folder with red letters reading "OVERWATCH FILES" stamped on the cover. Neuron handed the folder to you carefully. When you opened it up, various documents of the Overwatch agents were present. You couldn't believe your eyes!
You examined the documents with curiosity, still confused as to what exactly you were supposed to do. After carefully looking over the page, you slowly looked up at your leader, who spoke as soon as your eyes met.
"Be as nonchalant as possible, my child. You need to be on your top performance, otherwise, the Overwatch'll get suspicious, and we don't want that. You may rest today, but as of tomorrow at dawn, your mission begins. Now, I leave you with one final message: Good luck, young student."
Neuron bowed his head and began to leave. As he was approaching the door, he signaled everyone else to leave by a flick of his wrist. You were soon left alone to your thoughts. Your racing, pulsating thoughts. Not able to get anything clear in your mind, you laid down. You hadn't intended to fall asleep, but drowsiness overcame your body as you began to nap for a good few hours.
You couldn't remember if you dreamt or not. What you woke up to, however, seemed all too real to be merely a dream.
