I sat there, still panting in utter fear. I've never seen a dead body before, and the fact that it's my leader's body, my god...

"What's the problem?" He frowned over at me, digging his hands into his dark washed, ripped jean pockets.

My breath is shaking at this point, between him and this body, I wanted to pass out. It feels like I am. This is all just too much at once for me to handle.

I looked over to Alpha, seeing him stand in the hollow center of the cave, illuminated by the fireplace pit carved deeply into the wall of the cave, with... furniture?

Looking back at Taylor's body for a second, goosebumps rising off my skin at the shredded lace on top of the hanging skin off her face and shoulders, dried blood all over her skin and mixed with her hair, I stood up and turned to the cave center, frowning at what I'm seeing.

Alpha's cave looks like a modern living room. A black leather couch against one wall next to the fireplace, animal skin rugs on the floor, which I know those are real. Black end tables, a long hallway table opposite wall of the couch with... raw meat all over the tabletop. Of course.

In the corner by the couch, a pile of gold, white gold, diamond, anything rich in material and authentic in jewelry, piled up in the corner a bit higher than the arm of the couch.

Still standing in the same spot I am in, he walked and laid down on the couch, fixing his tight black t shirt on his stomach before getting comfortable.

I stayed still, in fear. Shocked actually. I held my arms together, still freezing. Even with the fire on, I can feel the breeze come in and hit me. It probably bothered me more than it did of him.

I shook violently from a sudden chill up my spine, wincing a little since it hit my pressure point on the back of my neck. My teeth chattered, and the second they did, he growled.

He stood up and came to me, pointing at the animal rug in front of the fireplace. "Lay down, your teeth chattering is annoying."

I looked at him, worried that it was a trick for him to kill me. Slowly making my way past him, afraid to even accidentally brush up against him, I went to the rug and sat down by the fire, immediately feeling the heat and relaxing slightly from the warmth.

I took a deep breath in of the fire scent, easing me even more. But it wasn't enough of course.

I'm in his fucking cave. The Tombstone Cave.

He retreated back to the couch, the way he laid down made him have a good view of the fireplace, and me on the rug. I stayed sitting up, my back straight.

I fixed my hair to fall down my back, covering my neck. For some reason, my chest wasn't as heavy as it was when I left home, but my heart is racing in fear. As if I hadn't said that enough to myself already.

Minutes of solid silence turned into a half hour. Alpha was still awake the entire time, I can tell by his pace of breath.

He suddenly broke the silence, scaring me slightly by his deep voice, "What's your name?"

I hesitated, then kept my eyes forward into the fire as my voice came out shaky, "Ha–" I cleared my throat, "Hannah."

He didn't speak for a little, then said, "Why were you in the woods? Alone. At five in the morning, might I add."
