I arrived at my home; my parents were on vacation, at my aunt's. So I was home alone.

Exited, I bolted up the white wooden stairs to my dark blue bed room where I have my game councils and all. I've been waiting to do this my whole life, to play this game... Majora's Mask. I blew at the bottom of the golden cartage. It smelt like... salt water..? I shrugged, and popped it in the slot of the Nintendo 64.

Turning on my TV, I picked up my black controller and sighed. The screen lit up, and I heard the menacing laugh of the skull kid. Oh, am I going to love this game! The screen changed to "The Legend of Zelda" and the master sword went through the letters. It faded to the words, "Majora's Mask" and "press start."

I pressed start on my controller and there was "start new game" and another game already started... It had a name. Probably the person who owned it before... it was titled "BEN" in all caps.

Interesting.

I decided to respect the previous owner, and pressed new game and I entered my name, (y/n). In the background, the song of healing played beautifully.

The game loaded.

The game started with Link riding his trusty horse, Epona through a foggy forest.

He rather looked depressed to me. Several glowing fairies appeared, scaring Epona as link wasn't paying attention, causing the horse to knock Link off, knocking him out, Epona raced off.

"He's suffered worse." I thought.

It then changed scenes.

Some strange music introduced the scene, it was... different. Not normal, nothing that I've ever heard before.. but it sounded.. familiar for some reason. Yes, me being the expert in The Legend of Zelda.

I could make it out.

It was the song of healing;

Only backwards.
