Ch. 4

I wake in the morning sore all over. I feel like I ran a billion miles.

"Good morning sleepy head. It is after 10, so daddy had me bring you breakfast and an outfit for today." Aislynn walks in with toast, eggs, and bacon. It all smells so amazing!!!

"Here, take the plate and I will go grab you a dress to wear. Once you have finished eating we are going to see my Uncle Eric. You can ask him any questions you would like."

"Thank you for taking care of me last night. That was really scary." I say to Aislynn. I dont know what I would have done without her here.

"Don't worry about it. I know how scared I was last week when it happened to me."

"Is your uncle a nice guy?"

"He is the sweetest uncle ever! Don't you worry about him. I swear, he will love you." She exclaims.

I start on my breakfast as she goes into her closet for a dress. I am really nervous about meeting her uncle. What if he doesnt like me? What if I am not allowed in the pack? I will be all alone!

As fear is starting to spread through my body, I begin to feel numb. I cant do this! I cant be a disappointment!

Just as my panic attack was starting, and I start hyperventilating, Aislynn walks back in with the dress and notices something is wrong.

"Hey, its going to be okay. You need to breathe." She comes up to me and wraps me in a hug. Slowly, my breathing goes back to normal and I feel calmer.

"I am really scared..." I admit.

"There is nothing to be scared about. I promise you he will like you."

"Okay.."

"Now throw this dress on and get ready." She hands me a pretty purple dress with ruffles and thin straps.

I do as I'm told and rush to the bathroom to change and put my hair in a ponytail. Once my hair is up I head downstairs and find all three of them sitting in the living room.

"I am ready to go." I say nervously.

"Alright sweetie. Let me go get the car ready and we can leave." Scott gets up and heads to the garage.

"Are you ready?" Alex comes up and asks me.

"As ready as ill ever be."

"Come on." He grabs mine and Aislynns hands and leads us to the garage where Scott is finishing putting another booster seat in his green car. I hop in on the left, and Aislynn on the right. Of course, Alex got shotgun!

"Everyone buckled up?" Scott calls from the drivers seat.

"Yes daddy." "Yes sir!" Aislynn and I call from the back seat.

Scott starts the car and we are off. The drive wasn't long, only five minutes away.

We pull up to this really pretty house. It's bigger than Aislynns house, and definitely makes mine look very small. There are some more houses around it that aren't as big.
