inseong + chani ft. rowoon lmAFO WHAHAHA
in the end, inseong decided to bring chani to the mall.
the way how the big doe eyes widened even more, the way the younger's lower jaw almost unhinged from how he was gaping made the older laugh, maybe a little harder than he should.
"oh my, it's-! oh my god, hyung look!" chani tugged inseong by his longsleeve, making the latter trip from his own shoes.
chani walked up to a shelf in this brightly lit shop that's adorned with countless of plush toys, his eyes already scanning for the perfect one.
he reached up for the gem that had caught his eyes, but his fingers barely grazed the plush's paws, much to his dismay.
he pouted in defeat, his hands coming to a rest against his hunched body, eyes still glued to the small jet black figure.
inseong sighed, his footsteps muffled by the carpet as he walked up to the younger, reaching out above him to get the rottweiler plush and placed it softly in his grasp.
chani lifted the small plush to the light, smiling softly as if it was a real pup.
"it's cute, hyung." he looked up at the other, his eyes forming adorable crescents.
"do you want it? hyung can buy it for you." inseong suggested, flipping over the tag to see the price.
$250 for a plush toy. hm, must be branded.
one look at the crazily high price made chani shake his head wildly.
"no, it's okay. it's so expensive, i can't." even though he's rejecting the plushie, his eyes shone how much he wanted it, his gaze never leaving the rottweiler.
"it's not expensive!" inseong waved for the shop assistant.
"please wrap this one for me." the assistance nodded before bringing the plush to the back of the shop, taking back out to the cashier, a newly packaged one.
"hyung! why, it's not worth!" chani stressed, still not understanding why his hyung will waste so much money on a small plush the size of a small puppy.
"you're worth, chani. if you want anything, just tell me and we can consider getting it. your happiness is mine, hm?" inseong paid for the toy with a swipe of his card.
"are you two siblings?" the cashier asked, softly putting the wrapped plush into this beautiful, complicated-looking bag, careful not to somehow damage the item.
she probably knew assuming if their a couple will make things awkward, so she asked whether they were siblings instead. one look at the shine in her eyes and inseong knew she was hoping for the best.
"well, you could say that." inseong threw his arms around chani's neck, his nose softly rubbing against his cheek.
it was something inseong kept doing after meeting up with zuho and taeyang. chani doesn't understand why, but since his hyung likes to do it, he let him be.
"you two are cute." the cashier giggled, passing over the bag with two hands in respect.
"have a nice day!" she bowed before waving as they left the shop.
"you too." inseong nodded his head as acknowledgement of her respect.
they continued to shop, inseong constantly spoiling the younger one with branded snapbacks and shoes. chani wasn't one who complain, so he just went along with it.
"chani, i'll go to the restroom first. wait for me here, ara?" inseong patted chani's head softly, giving him a quick peck on his crown before leaving.
chani leaned against the wall, one of the few snapbacks the older had given him on his head, the little rottweiler plush in his hands.
it reminded him of inseong. even though the eyes of the plushie aren't fox like, he could feel the resemblance-
"hey pretty boy, you 'lone?" loud footsteps walked up towards him and the voice called, low and raspy. chani looked up at the stranger when he stopped in front of him.
"my buddies and i are hangin', you wanna join us?" his breath reeked of smoke, making the younger one scrunch up his nose in discomfort.
"no thanks, i'm waiting for someone." the close proximity was making chani uncomfortable, as he tried to wiggle out from the side.
the stranger slid up his bulky arm, trapping the smaller one against the wall.
"i never said you could reject us, pretty boy." the man leaned nearer, smirking.
"i wonder how'd it feel? to have these for myself." he slapped the side of chani's hips, making him flinch from contact.
"he said no, did he not?" his guardian angel stepped into the conflict, pushing the latter off roughly. in utter protectiveness of the younger one, inseong threw his arm around his neck, his nose gently rubbing his cheek.
"this gem here's taken. leave." if he focused hard enough, chani swore he could hear a low growl rumbling from the end of the sentence, from inseong.
the scary man cursed under his breath, mumbling coherently to himself as he joined his buddies, who were watching at the side.
"you alright?" inseong's hand grazed every part of chani's face, as if he's checking for dents in the fragile ceramics.
"i'm never leaving you again, never." the older one engulfed chani in a hug, full of warmth and love.
hell, one can even see the love hearts floating around inseong, the way he looks at chani, as if he's the only figure in his life.
yup, the boy's in love, no doubt.
