I shouldn't have smirked.

Maybe if I didn't I wouldn't be stuck with her. But being myself isn't a sin either so now I'm kind of wishing I didn't spoke to her at all. Rude, but most girls I know are kinda horrible so no regrets.

Rosé took a sit next to me, hands between her legs. She was looking at me with a kind, easy smile. "I'm sorry, I don't think I got your name."

I didn't ask for yours either.

Lisa, again. Rude.

I scooted a little farther away from her and decided to look into her eyes just to break it to her. There's a rule everyone kind of gets by now. Do not, I repeat, do not meddle with Lalisa Manoban. It's basic fact. It's not that people hate or are afraid of me. They just get the fact I don't talk back unless I want them to get lost or I need answers. I'm a lone wolf. I don't make friends. I don't want friends.

Especially not with someone like her.

"I'm sorry but I don't think I'd want you to anyway." I say softly.

In response, her eyes widened a lil and then she laughed.

I'm sorry, did I missed something? I can't seem to recall anything hilarious to what I purposely curtly said.

"I...I'm sorry!" Rosé giggles, a closed hand shyly covers her lips. "It's just that I thought I can never...I...I needed that. Really."

When I gave her a look - it was a blank one, the usual - she flashed me an award winning smile. It's...blinding - almost setting my eyes on fire.

Don't. Grimace. Lalisa.

"People...really know how to get to you, you know?" She sighs, head dipping to stare at her thighs solemnly. Her laughs are pretty, like her - but there's something solemn with this one. Almost fed up. "Sorry. Bad day."

Tsk.

I closed my book and stuffed it in my backpack. Yeah. There's no progress to be done, clearly. Disappointing too, because I actually wanted to get a start on Demonata.

"Rosé! Hey!"

Oh crust.

Kim Taehyung, in all his handsome glory, fixes his thick-rimmed glasses as he flashes us a heartstopping grin. He jogs at us and I'm just gonna head home, really. I chewed on my inner cheek for a sec as I hastily slung my backpack on one shoulder and dusted off my skirt.

"You're coming to the party later tonight, right?"

"Oh, erm..."

"Hey, Lalisa, right?" I didn't waste a breath giving him a response. Like I could stomach another conversation with...those people. I was two steps off and tired, just -

A hand clamps down on my wrist and before I could even react a driving force pulls me harshly until my butt is stumbling all over -

The brat.

I gave Rosé a wide-eyed look as she smiles cutely at our sunbae, hand tight on my wrist. I turned to Taehyung as she said, "Actually Lalisa and I will be a bit late, sorry. But we'll make it, oppa."

I narrow my eyes, this fake Australian lil -

Taehyung chuckles.

He had this bright twinkle on his brown eyes, a ridiculous, pearly boxy grin and for the love of - just let me leave already.

"That's...that's real cute." He sniffs.

Rosé scowls. I tried to break free from her grip but goddamn this fake Australian - it's amazing, how almost as if she's some sort of red head version of Paul Bunyan. The struggle. "It wasn't a joke, oppa."

"You're a joke." I strain. "What are you made of? Concrete?"

"Oh, um." Taehyung rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "Sorry. It's just that...Lisa doesn't usually go to-"

"We'll be there." Rosé smiles with that power only the charming have. "Anyways, we're heading off. See you later, maybe?"

"Yeah, sure." Taehyung waves once before turning his back on us and stuffing his hands on his pockets. He beams just as Rosé finally shifts her gaze on me. "Hey, Jackson! Man, wait up! You're coming later, yeah?"

"You're disgusting." I hiss at her, finally pulling my wrist back from her.

Rosé rolls her eyes, "Hate to break it you, I'm not that cute, Lalice."

"Don't call me that."

"So!" She throws one arm around my shoulder and a hand on my arm and forces me to walk along with her. "There's this good cafe near the dorms. The reviews have been swell. And I wanna try their wintermelon milk tea. And I'm guessing you're rich so treat poor old Chaeyoung this once! Just once."

"Get off me." I snap.

Rosé laughs as she tugs me tighter and I almost choked. There's this squeak that may or may not have come from my lips (embarrassing, Lisa).

Something tells me this is what low key hostage taking is like in real life.
