A Vampire Lovestory

The Beginning

Lucy sat in her chair, reading her text book and quickly jolting down her notes. She couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. There was someone gazing at her. She took a quick glance to see it was Gray Fullbuster.

One of the most popular boys in school. Lucy let out a small squeak and dug her face further into her book.

"Lucy, is it" he asked, as he eyed her. Lucy frowned and looked at the boy. "Yes" she muttered, but it was more of a question than an answer.

"Do you know Natsu" he asked.

Lucy nodded. "Yeah, your best friend, right" she asked. Gray nodded and snickered to himself evilly. "Wait, do you know who Juvia is" he asked. She nodded. He looked at Lucy curiously. "What about Levy" he asked. Lucy frowned and nodded.

"And Erza" he asked. "Yeah" she answered in a low tone, creeped out. He rose a brow.
"Wait, do you happen to know where Juvia lives" he asked, curiously.
"Wait, no. I'll find it myself, it'll be more fun, and Natsu wouldn't want me talking to her" he said to himself, thoughtfully as the bell rang.
But his outside thinking was interrupted by a text book smacking him square in the face.
The bridge of his nose and in between his eyes were a bruising red.
"Lucy kick" he heard the girl yell before he was kicked into the back of the room.
"I don't know what you want with Juvia, but I am not telling you her address, you creep" the girl yelled as she ran out of the room.

Gray looked up in disbelief as he rubbed his bruising head. "What just happened" he asked himself.

Erza sat in her first period class, as she couldn't forget about that smirk in her dreams. The smirk that said that that person could control her. That person knew her weaknesses and strength. It bothered her, not only because it was risking her pride, but she was truly scared.

What if what Levy said was right?

What if someone really was out to get her?

What if she could never get away from them?

These worried questions lurked around in her head. And she couldn't get done her work because of that. "Hey, Erza" someone called. Erza whipped her head around to see a pink haired boy with a cheeky grin.

"What is it, Natsu?"

Erza was the school president, and she made sure that she knew everyone's name. It was easy to remember Natsu, considering that he was the only boy with pink hair in the school. Natsu's grin grew. "Why do you seem so scared? Erza Scarlet, I never knew you'd be scared" he announced teasingly, only to get punched in the face.

The bell rang, and Erza closed her eyes, getting up. "I am not scared, now if you excuse me, I have to go to my second period" she announced, walking away. Natsu rubbed his bruised cheek. "Well yeah? I'll take you on any day" Natsu yelled as he got up, balling his fist with a toothy grin. Erza ignored the boy and continued to walk.

The four girls sat in the lunch room together, eating some school lunch. Levy couldn't stop thinking about that menacing smirk. It had already been three periods, but she couldn't help but think about who was out to get her.

They could be anyone in this school. Who could she trust, well other than her best friends. Lucy noticed her friend's paranoid glances and patted her head.

"Don't worry Levy, we'll be fine. We'll figure this out together" she said as she patted the petite girl's head.

She flinched in response.

Lucy frowned. "Sorry, Lu-Chan" she muttered apologetically. Lucy nodded. Levy was usually the calm and happy one of the bunch. It hurt Lucy to see her like that. Levy let out a sigh, before shaking all her thoughts away and smiling. "It's all in my head" she convinced herself. "Juvia thinks you are right" Juvia said, nodding her head.

"Why were you talking to her, stripper!?"

"Because I wanted to, Pinky!"

The girls sighed as they looked over at Gray and Natsu, who were fighting...again. "Do they ever stop" Erza asked as she got up, her chair screeching. She walked to the two and knocked their heads together. "There will be no fighting in the school buildings" she announced. "Yes ma'am" Gray said, bowing as if Erza were a queen. She nodded and walked away.

"You're not the boss of me-" there was a tray thrown at Natsu, causing him to fall on the floor.

His eyes traced Erza's figure angrily as she sat back down, before he looked at Lucy. He smiled at the girl. Only Lucy was staring at someone else, or more like glaring at them.

Gray.

Natsu narrowed his eyes as a snarl came out. Gray looked at the boy in shock before standing up. "Come on guys" Gray said. "Natsu is losing control."

Gajeel and Jellal looked at Natsu before Gajeel groaned. "I got him" he announced, slinging Natsu over his shoulder as the other three started walking ahead.

Lucy looked away from Gray. She didn't trust him, especially since he asked her for Juvia's address. Just because he was popular, didn't mean she'd be that dumb girl to tell him.

She turned to Juvia. "Hey Juvia, do you know Gray" she asked.

The her surprise, Juvia was already staring at Gray. "Juvia knows Gray-Sama" she declared happily.

The girls looked at the lovestruck girl with a sweatdrop.

The boys all sat in Gray's room, Jellal explaining what was to happen to them once thee clock struck 12.

Midnight.

It was recently 11:55pm. "You will feel hungry. You'll feel as though no one matters to you but your mate. You will feel hate towards everyone, because you'll think that they'll try to steal your mate away. You'll become protective and possessive over your-"

"Okay, we get it" Natsu yelled as he threw a pillow at the boy's face. Jellal closed his eyes. "Natsu, can you be serious for once" Gajeel asked.

"Yeah, we only have three more minutes until we hate each other for a month" Gray added.

"Well, at least I still get to hate you" Natsu said.

Jellal sighed. "Let's just...wait in silence" he said, looking at the clock. Everyone agreed, looking at the clock.

The clock struck twelve.

All four vampires' eyes turned red. "See you later" Natsu said, jumping out of the window. "Bye Pinky" Gray yelled, jumping out the window as well. Gajeel sighed. "Well see you in a month, Jellal" he said as the two shook hands. Jellal nodded silently, nd the two disappeared.

And with that, mating season began.
