Teachers are right when they say highschool prepares you for the real world. Because no matter what, you have to do the things you don't want to. The people above you will boss you around. Your equals will either be nice to you or treat you like garbage. You'll treat the people below you like they're nothing. Sound familiar? Could you tell the difference between the two? If you couldn't then by golly you have got a good head on your shoulders. Because these things are what make the real world and highschool exactly the same.
But there will be one difference. A change in status. The people above me won't be taunting me anymore. Because when I am in the real world I will be above them. In the future the 'popular' ones will be working on the corner to get a quick buck. Or they will be working behind the counter at a Dollar General. But me. I will be a lawyer or doctor. All I know is I will be someone important. Then all of those above me will fall below me.
Since its only my freshman year it might be a while before I get to be that important, but I know I will be. Some day.
