Lestrade stood over the newest body, it was slumped over in the bath blood running down it's neck and covering it's torso, writing down the appearance of the victim as well as the supposed cause of death determined by the criminal investigative team only half an hour ago. That's when Sherlock entered the dingy hotel room. However, unlike what Greg was expecting, a women followed him into the room, not John. Lestrade raised an eyebrow at the girl,

"Uhh, Sherlock? Who's this? I know I let you bring Dr Watson with you, but you can't keep bringing strangers to crime scenes its against protocol."

"I'm not a stranger, in fact I live with him. Temporarily that is..." Sherlock and the brown haired exchange a look that he had never seen Sherlock give to another before, then goes back to bending over the body and examining it. Maybe something was going on between the two, he would never ask though, it wasn't his division.
" The names Alice, I work at St Bart's with Molly Hooper."

"Ohh, you're Alice. Molly told me about you, how's the job going?"

"It's going-"

"Lets stop with the small talk and get on with the real issue at hand, huh?" Interrupts Sherlock now stood upright looking between the pair.

"Yes lets do that... this is the 5th body we've found, exact same cause of death and all with the exact same appearance. Brown hair, Brown eyes, mid 20's females, they all disappear in one place and turn up 5 miles away, 3 days later dead, neck slashed but only this time she was stabbed in the chest, see?" Lestrade explained pointing to the array of stab wounds scattered across the victim's chest.

"hmmm yes I see, 8 stab wounds to be precise. obviously a crime of passion over anything else, maybe trying to get back at an ex or getting anger out on a current lover without actually harming them. Obviously a man due to the force behind each stab a women could never pull that off..." Sherlock carried on voicing any and all thoughts he had about the serial murders whilst only one thing played on repeat in Alice's, it was the only way to stop anyone else getting hurt because of this man, she had to. She couldn't let anyone else get killed because of him, not when she had a way to stop it.

"We need to catch him in the act." She blurted out.

" What?" Lestrade questioned,

"Catch him in the act, give him some bait to lure him out and catch him mid-kidnapping. It's the only way you're going to be able to catch him, he's already out-smarted you 5 times."

"And I'm guessing you want to be the bait?" Lestrade said in a low and slow voice, unsure about the situation but knowing that its the best plan they have. Alice's head nods slowly towards Greg. However, Sherlock's eyes go wide at her action as he quickly steps in front of the petite girl and staring at him in disbelief.

"No. No way is she being the bait. I won't let her." Sherlock's eyes went dark as he stared at Lestrade slowly letting his anger slip through. although the girl behind him was not happy about his sudden burst of protectiveness and pushes him to the side so she can get to the officer once more. She looks towards Sherlock, anger ever present on her face

"I want to do this. and speak for me again, I'll detach something from you." she quickly turns back towards Lestrade. " I fit the description perfectly and know how this sort of thing works. Just tell me what to do and I'll do it."

She knew she was doing this for all of his future victims, to save them from this monster. but she couldn't help thinking that maybe part of her was in fact doing this for herself to prove to Sherlock that she could be trusted. The outburst against her being bait was an obvious indication that he felt as though she couldn't be trusted and that angered her more than she could explain. She had tried so hard to prove herself to him over the past couple of weeks and she hoped this would be the thing that finally showed him that he was able to install his trust in her.
