"What the hell?" I moaned as I drug myself out of bed and walked over to my window.

"Drew?" I asked as I peered outside my window at a shivering figure below.

"No santa claus!" he said with a chuckle.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked while rolling my eyes at his santa claus comment.

"I said I needed to talk to you!"

"At 2 in the morning?" I yelled as I peered behind me at my brightly lit alarm clock.

"Sage, please its important." he whispered his eyes turning to the ground.

"I'll meet you up top." I said with a sigh and started out my window to the roof.

As I reached the top of the roof I noticed Drew sitting in his normal spot staring up at the sky as his hair danced with the wind. I quietly layed down next to him and threw a large blanket over the two of us as I turned on my side and stared up at him, waiting for him to talk about whatever the hell he needed to talk about at 2 in the morning.

"Claire and I broke up." he finally spoke his eyes still fixed on the sky

I layed there staring at him not knowing what to say. Was he the reason they broke up or she? Was he unfaithful to her? Did he fall back to his playboy ways? My thoughts were cut short as he snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"What?" I asked shoving his hand away from my face.

"Would you like to know why?" he asked looking down at me.

"Well yeah!" I said dramatically throwing my hands up in the air.

"She cheated on me." he said while his arms found their way around my waist pulling me closer to him.

"At first I was pissed, but then I realized something." he said while placing a stray piece of hair behind my ear.

"What did you realize?" I asked returning my gaze back to the stars.

"That true love doesn't exist in this fucked up world. Lies thats all love is, lies! One minute your telling eachother how much you love one another and the next you walk in on your girlfriend and brother getting hot and heavy in the kitchen." he yelled tears streaming down his face.

I layed there staring up at the sky not knowing what to say. My first instinct was to hug him and tell him everything was going to be fine, but the longer I layed there the more I thought of how he was being a coward about the whole thing.

"You don't get to give up that easy! No way in hell am I going to let you give up on love because of a bitch like Claire! Just because she slept with you brother and broke your heart doesn't mean that love doesn't exist, it means Claire wasn't the one, and that means your true love is still out there somewhere! So grow some balls, stop crying over that bitch ass barbie doll, and for God's sake take a shower, my God you stink!"

"Wow, I was expecting a hu-

"Well then I suggest you go cry about your problems to someone who cares!" I said walking back towards my window.

"Hey Claire!" he yelled causing me to turn around and face him.

"Thanks, I needed that!" he added before turning to exit the roof.

"What are best friends for!" I said exiting the roof and crawling through my window.
