Chapter 1

"Caroline!" Stefan screamed from outside of her window. Caroline woke up to his screaming and walked over to the window.

"Keep it down, you are gonna wake the whole neighborhood!" Caroline yelled back as quiet as she could. Stefan jumped up on her windowsill using his vampire abilities.

"Sorry but we have a problem." Stefan told her with a concerned look on his face.

"What?" She asked and when he didnt reply. "Stefan what is it?" She demanded harsher than she meant to.

"Its Elena." Stefan said. Caroline's face just dropped. What? What's wrong with Elena?  She thought. Her heart started beating faster and Stefan noticed it.

"Caroline the originals are coming to Mystic Falls." What are the originals? Should I know what that is? I dont know what that means.

"Oh no?" She said acting like she knew what they were talking about.

"Caroline! The originals are coming to Mystic Falls!" Stefan said harsh and a little scared. He really cared about Elena anyone could see that. "Do you know what this means?"

"No not really." Caroline answered honestly.

"They are coming for Elena, Caroline... she's the key."

"The key for what?" Caroline asked. Her heart racing.

"Her blood is what Klaus needs to create other hybrids." Stefan said.

"Stefan it's ok. We will handle this, no one will ever hurt Elena.." she rubbed his arm reassuringly. "...not as long as we have anything to say about it." she said smiling up at him. Stefan smiled back. "Ok." He said simply.

He left. Caroline walked over to her bed and plopped down on it. So many thoughts ran through her mind. But she was to tired to think about anything. She pushed everything out of her mind and fell asleep. My problems will still be there tomorrow. Was the last thing she thought before falling asleep.
