Chapter 9

"What the hell is he doing here?" Damon asks in the door way.

"I'm here to get my doppelganger." Klaus says before Caroline could. Caroline looks down ashamed.

Damon looks at Caroline. "What did you do?" Damon asks his face getting red with anger.

"I'm sorry. I had to." Caroline says. "He threatened Tyler." She says.

"Who gives a damn about that stupid warewolf?"

"I do and so does Elena and she wouldn't let Tyler die either." She says arguing with him.

"No she wouldn't thats why we locked her in the house!" His voice rising with anger. "I knew we couldn't trust you with something as big as this." He says. There was a silence. Caroline was afraid that if she said anything her tears she was hiding away would fall and they both would know how weak she really was, if they didn't already.

"It's Tyler Damon! We can't just let him die!" She says.

"Yes we can and we will." Damon says closing the door on them but Caroline has already been invited in. So when the door shut she opened it back up again and walked inside.

"I've already been invited in, Damon."

"Ya I know. That's gonna be a problem." Damon grabs a chair that was sitting near the coffee table and breaks one of the legs off. He starts walking towards her. Caroline's eyes widen and so did Klaus's.

"Damon don't." Caroline says pleading. "Damon please!" She looks at him with pleading eyes but he didn't care he just kept walking towards her.

BAM! "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Stefan says ramming Damon into the wall using inhuman speed.

"Ugh Stefan!" Damon says dropping the steak on the floor.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Stefan asks again.

"She brought that hybrid freak here. Now he knows where Elena is. She needs to die." He says looking over at her.

"Damon you can't just kill Caroline." Stefan yells at him.

"Watch me." Damon says to him. Damon grabs Stefan's head then twists it with the help of vampire strength and speed. Stefan falls to the ground with his neck snapped Damon then picks the steak up off the ground and starts walking towards Caroline.

"Damon don't!" Elena demands from on top of the stairs. Damon turns around and zooms upstairs.

"Get back in the bedroom Elena. This isn't a place for you." Damon says.

"No!" She says staying where she was. "Damon she's my friend."

"She's trying to turn you in to Klaus, and I'm not gonna let that happen." Damon says looking into her eyes.

"Elena it's Tyler we have to save him but he needs your blood to survive." Caroline yells from downstairs. Elena started to walk downstairs but Damon stopped her. "Don't" his eyes said to her.

"Damon get out of my way." She demands. "Or I'll...."

"You'll what?" Damon says cutting her off.

"I'll invite Klaus inside." She says her eyes narrowed.

"Oh I'd like that very much, thank you love." Klaus chimes in from outside of the doorway. Elena gives Damon a look that says "Don't doubt me." He looked at her debating whether or not he should let her past.

SNAP!  Caroline zooms up the stairs and snaps Damon's neck. "Caroline!" Elena looked at her shocked. Klaus smiling in the doorway.

"Come on we have to hurry." Caroline says grabbing Elena's hand and zooming down the stairs. When they got down the stairs Caroline let's go of Elena's hand and walks outside. Elena grabs her car keys and heads towards the doorway. She goes to walk outside but is yet again stopped by the invisible barrier blocking her from the outside world.

"Oh no I completely forgot I can't leave." Elena says looking at the two of them. Caroline looks away. Dammit! she thought. We were so close. What are we going to do now?

"Well then I suppose you should invite me in then." Klaus says on the other side of the barrier that was keeping him out and her in. Elena looks at Caroline for some help.

"Why don't we bring Tyler in have him drink Elena's blood then you both can just leave." Caroline says not asking.

"Now you see love that wasn't part of the deal." Klaus says.

"No the deal was I'll show u where she is." Caroline puts her arms up pointing to Elena. "Well here she is." Caroline says stumping Klaus. Klaus shakes his head.

"No, invite me in or Tyler dies." Klaus says. Hes not just gonna let Tyler survive without having any access to his precious doppelganger. Caroline shakes her head no then opens her mouth to protest but Elena stops her.

"Come in." She says. Caroline looks at her. What the hell is she doing? She thinks to herself. Klaus looks at the ground then takes a step in the house.

"Now that's more like it." Klaus says grinning.

"Ugh what the hell?" Damon says groaning as he wakes up. Stefan should've woken up first but he doesn't drink people blood anymore. Last time he had it he went ballistic. He was a true ripper, those were some of his darkest times that he never wants to go back to ever again. Damon on the other hand can handle drinking the people blood. It doesn't affect him the way it does Stefan.

Damon jumps to his feet as fast as he can at the sight of Klaus. He zooms over to Elena and stands in between her and Klaus. He glares at both him and Caroline who was hiding behind him.

"Welcome back to the land of the living mate." Klaus says. "Hmmm more or less." Klaus says grinning at Damon. Klaus could see the anger in his face and it amused him. He likes it when people think they're stronger than he is and when they see they're mistaken is the best part.

Damon turns around. "You are the most stupid girl I've ever met." He says to Elena. Elena didnt look ashamed she didn't regret what she did. Ok maybe a little but it was for Tyler he can't just die. Elena moves past Damon.

"Okay I invited you in now can you please bring Tyler here?" Elena asks Klaus. Klaus nods.

"I'll go too just to make sure he doesn't ditch us." Caroline volunteers. Elena nods.

"You know if you want to spend time with me all you have to do is ask." Klaus says grinning.

"Oh please get over yourself." Caroline says as they walk out of Elena's house to go search for Tyler.

"Ugh what the hell?" Stefan says waking up. Damon looks over at him.

"Welcome back brother. You missed all the fun." Damon says drinking a glass of bourbon he found on the table as he walks upstairs to his room. "What the hell!" He yells as he slams the door to his room. Stefan looked at Elena for help but she just shook her head and walked away.
