[6] Future

Chad sits at his desk at work and dials Emmy's number. He hasn't seen her last night and he feels like he is going through withdrawal already.

"Hey beautiful." Chad leans in his desk when she picks up the phone call.

"His handsome." Emmy returns a compliment.

"What are you up to?" Chad asks, making small talk with her to pass the time. He also happens to like hearing her voice.

"I'm just cleaning up a bit. Why what's up? Why did you call?" She hopes nothing is the matter. She hates receiving bad news over the phone.

"I just wanted to hear your voice." He admits.

"Aw." Emmy smiles and takes a seat on her couch, taking a moment to appreciate how sweet and romantic he is.

Sasha walks over and slams a pile of paperwork on Chad's desk, causing him to sit up straight. She looks at him shocked when she sees that he is on the phone rather than getting work done.

She grabs the phone from Chad and lifts it up to her ear. "Hey!" Chad complains.

"Emmy? It's Sasha. Sorry to say that chad can't talk right now. He's got a lot of homework to do."

Emmy laughs on the other end. "How did you know it was me?" She asks her friend.

"Oh please. Chad obsesses over you all the time. Who else would he be talking to?" Sasha asks rhetorically.

"Give me my phone back Sasha!" Chad grabs for it. He wants to talk to Emmy again. He misses the sound of her voice. Sasha hands him the phone back.

"Bye chad. Have fun doing your homework." Emmy laughs.

"You should come visit me. It would be a lot more fun that way." Chad says in the hopes she will actually come.

"Oh yeah? Why's that?" She asks, twirling her hair around her finger.

"Because I miss you." Chad pouts.

"Well then you will be even more excited to see me later. It will be worth the wait. I promise." She smirks, knowing she is killing him inside.

Chad sighs. "Fine I guess I'll just have to wait just a little bit longer to see you then." He pouts at his desk as if it will change her mind over the phone. "Bye Emmy."

"Bye Chad." She blows a kiss into the phone and hangs up.

Chad sets the phone done on his desk and stares up at Sasha who is leaning on his desk. "What?" He asks, not understanding why she is staring at him.

"You love her." She smiles at the perfect match she set up. She can see his love for her written all over his face. He blushes when she says those words. "I knew it!" She jumps, so proud that she is part of the reason Chad is so madly in love and happy. She knew they were perfect for each other.

She had a feeling they would get along very well. Her feeling has now been confirmed.

Fae walks over to Chad's desk to see how her partner is doing. "What's going on here? Why is lover boy red like a tomato?" She asks Sasha.

"He's in love itch his girlfriend. He's going to marry her!" Sasha excitedly tells Fae the news.

"I never said that!" Chad defends himself. He hates how easily Sasha is reading him right now.

"You didn't have to. I can tell!" Sasha scoffs happily. "I know you better than you think I do."

"What? No way, seriously!?" Fae asks. "What has it been, like a week, week and a half?"

"I know, I know. It's just-I" Chad sighs with a smile on his face. He doesn't have words to describe it.

"Okay stop right there." Fae holds her hand up to stop him from talking.

Chad prepares himself for a long-winded lecture from Fae about how crazy he is for falling in love with this girl so quickly. She always lectures him when he does something she doesn't approve of. He knows he is diving in to this relationship so quickly but it feels so right to him

"I can just tell by your face that this girl is special." Fae smiles.

Chad nods. He is glad she can accept how he feels about this girl.

"I don't know if either of you believe in love at first sight but I totally do now after having it happen to me. It was an instant connection. I feel like I have known her my whole life." Chad tried to put his feelings into words.

Fae shakes her head with disbelief at her partner's love life.

"The crew and I are all having dinner together tonight. You should come and invite the girlfriend so we can all meet your further Mrs." fae says as she walks away with a pep in her step.
