This awesome prompt was thought up by @Elliot_Sebastian_ !

Person A and Person B are living together. A is afraid of the dark and the power goes out, B comforts A.

Person A is going to be Olivia Benson, and person B is Elliot Stabler!

Elliot's POV

I slowly walked from my kitchen, and out into the living room. Thunder rumbles from outside the window, as lighting strikes somewhere, but the sudden flash of light sends Olivia into shakes. I quickly set the bowl down, before sitting next to her, but she jumped.

"Livvie, don't worry. Everything is okay. He isn't here. You're safe." I breathed, and she quickly moved towards me, and I held her in my arms as her body continued to shake.

I really wish that I could've gotten to her before he got to her. She's a mess because of him, and she has night terrors because of him.

More thunder rolled throughout the city, but it seemed really loud here.

"Wanna try and eat some soup?" I asked, and she shook her head, as I stood. I frowned deeply, but I wasn't going to force her. I didn't want her to hate me, because I'm the only one who she can look at. I'm the only one she will let hold her when she's stuck in a seemingly never-ending nightmare.

"Olivia, I know you think you might get sick, but if you do, I'll be here." I breathed, as I grabbed a blanket, and draped it over her shoulders.

"Can I sleep?" She asked, but that thought left her head when thunder boomed again, and the power suddenly went out. She screamed, and I tripped over the side table, and fell to the floor, as Liv sobbed.

"Elliot! Help me!" She screamed, and I tried to scramble up, but I kept slipping on the floor because I must've knocked the soup over.

"I'm coming, Liv. You're okay!" I repeated over and over again, as I tried to blindly find her, and when I got to the couch, she wasn't there anymore.

Lightening lit up the room, and I scrambled towards the corner, where Liv was sitting, her legs pulled to her chest, and her face buried in her legs.

"Olivia, it's only a power outage. It'll be on soon, and then we can get you into bed. Did I burn you when the soup fell?" I asked, and she sniffled, as she looked up at me.

"Where were you?" She asked, her voice showing how angry and disappointed she was. I'm her protector, and I let her down.

"I was trying to get to you, Liv. I promise." I whispered as I moved closer to her.

"No, you left me, Elliot." She spoke, as her voice shook.

"I'm never going to leave you, Olivia. I'm here to take care of you. Now, let me hold you. It'll help you."

"How can I trust you?" She asked, as she moved closer to the actual corner, and clung to her legs even more.

"Because I'm your partner, for better or for worse," I replied slowly, and she shook her head.

"You left me so many times!" She sobbed, and I sighed as I felt guilt wash over me. She had me there. I did leave her because I was stupid. But I'm here now. I'm here to take care of my best friend, because I love her, and she needs someone to hold her when she cries.

"But this time it is different. I'll never leave you behind." I spoke, before kissing her temple gently as she trembled. She was so damaged, that it killed me to even think about what Lewis had done to her.

"Don't lie to me." She spoke, her voice cold.

"I'm not lying, Olivia. Look at me." I spoke, before grabbing her chin, and slowly turning her chin up, so she would look me in the eyes.

I kept my eyes glued to hers, even though I could barely see her, and I took a slow breath.

"Olivia, your amazing. Nothing will cause me to leave you behind, because if I do, I'd not be able to live. To think. To breath." I spoke, and she leaned forward and placed her shaky lips to mine, and I didn't kiss her back, because she's broken. She is just being forceful with the kiss because she wants to feel safe. To feel wanted. To feel normal.

"Why didn't you kiss me back? Don't we have something?" She asked, nervously.

"I love you, Liv. But right now, you aren't in the right mind. You need to heal before we take a big step towards a relationship more than what we have had in the past. Now, come here. I'll hold you until the power comes back on."

Liv nodded slowly, before moving closer to me. I held her close, and rocked our bodies back and forth slowly, as her breathing evened out, and her body stopped shaking. But even though she had calmed slightly, I wasn't letting her go no matter what.

Olivia and I sat on the floor under a very small blanket, as the storm still raged on. She was asleep, and being in my arms seemed to have stopped the nightmares from getting horrible, and she would only twitch every once and awhile.

"Olivia, I hope you are sleeping, because you need it more than anyone else. But I'm promising you, and even myself, that I won't leave you ever again. I'll help you fight your demons, and eventually, help you get over your fear of the dark. Lewis, nor anyone else, will be taking you from us again. Not even your thoughts and fears. You mean the absolute world to me, and I'll never let you down again. I'll even hold you till the lights turn back on."

Olivia shifted in my arms and turned her head up to look at me. She tugged the blanket tighter around her body, and gave me a forced, shaky, and frankly extremely exhausted smile.

"Thanks for that, El. Thanks for everything." She spoke, before hugging me tightly, and the lights turned on, and I felt like Liv was going to be Liv again.
