Alola!

After a long journey, Sia and her mom arrive in the Alola region.
Sia's mom: This is where we will be staying.
Sia: It's beautiful! Look at the view of the tropical sea.
Sia's mom: I know! I can't believe we got a house so close to the beach.
Sia: What did you say the name of the town was?
Sia's mom: Iki town. There's only a population of 18 people here. It's so peaceful.
A loud knock at the door is heard.
Sia walks to the door but before she can open it a cheerful man walks in. He was wearing a lab coat but with no shirt underneath.
Professor Kukui: Hi! Welcome to Iki town!
Sia's mom: Hello! You must be professor Kukui.
Professor Kukui: Yep, that's me!
Sia: Uum... a professor?
Professor Kukui: Yeah, don't worry I'm not your teacher or something boring like that! I work in the lab here in Iki! We research Pokemon there. That reminds me why I came here, actually. Your mom mentioned that you wanted to be a Pokemon trainer.
Sia: Yeah I do.
Professor Kukui: Well  if you stop by at the lab you can get a Pokemon from us!
Sia's mom: Really? You'll just give her a Pokemon?
Professor Kukui: Of course! Generosity is a very important quality here in Iki. Along with happiness and kindness.
Sia's mom: I already love this place!
Sia: So when should we go to the lab?
Professor Kukui: We can go now if you aren't busy.
Sia's mom: Well I have to unpack but
Sia can go now if you're sure that that's okay with you, professor.
Professor Kukui: Of course it is! Let's get going!
Sia and Kukui leave the house and begin to walk. A stranger smiles and waves at Sia.
Stranger: Alola! Are you new here?
Professor Kukui: Yeah she is. She's definitely gonna be a strong trainer, I can feel it already!
Kukui turns back to Sia.
Professor Kukui: Forgot to mention, most people in the region prefer to say Alola instead of hi, so it's a good way to greet someone.
The professor opened the door to the lab and showed Sia three Pokemon.
Professor Kukui: This is rowlet,

  Rowlet is a grass type Pokemon
This is Litten, a fire type Pokemon,

And finally, this is Popplio, a water type Pokemon,

So what do you think, Sia?
Sia: It's such a hard choice!
Professor Kukui: It's ok take your time.
Sia: Hmmm could I have Litten please?
Professor Kukui: yeah of course! What made you pick him?
Sia: I don't know, he just seems... stronger than the other two.
Professor: Aah, that's because Litten never smiles! He's a fussy one, good luck pleasing him! No, no I'm only kidding, I'm sure you two will grow a strong bond together.
Sia lifted Litten up in her arms.
Professor Kukui: You gonna name him?
Sia: I'm gonna name him Akari. It means Light, brightness and fire so it fits perfectly with his type.
Professor Kukui: That's a great name! Hey, you should name some of mine, I'm nowhere near as creative as you!
Sia: Can I see any of your Pokemon?
Professor Kukui: Yeah, this is rockruff. I spend every day with him.

After leaving the lab, Sia and professor Kukui are greeted by Hau ,a young boy about Sia's age, wearing a t-shirt with shorts.
Hau: Hey, I challenge you to a batt-
An old man walked towards them and interrupted Hau.
Hala: Where's the fire, boy? You don't ask someone to battle without even introducing yourself.
Hau: Oh yeah! Alola, I'm Hau and this is my grandad Hala.
Professor Kukui: Also known as the island Kahuna!
Hala: Hi, you must be Sia, nice to meet you!
Sia: Nice to meet you too! So do you like... run the island?
Hala: Yes you could say that.
Hau: Sia, wanna battle?
Hala: Hau is excited because he just got a rowlet, it's his first Pokemon.
Professor Kukui: what a coincidence, Sia just got her first Pokemon as well!
Hala: I'm interested in this battle now.
Hau: What do ya say?
Sia: I'd love too!
The battle went on for a while until Akari used Fire fang and won against Rowlet.
Hala: I'm impressed, well done Sia, you too Hau!
Professor Kukui: Sia you need to come to the festival later!
Sia: What festival?
Hala: Every year, Iki has a festival of gratitude to worship our town guardian, Tapu Koko.
Sia: I'd love too.
After 5 minutes, everyone parted their separate ways. Sia began to explore the village until she saw something strange...
