It has been two weeks since the Snowball, Hawkins is getting chilly and El doesn't know what to think about it. El makes her and Mike go back inside because she is 'too cold.'

"Here, El. Take my coat."
-Mike.
El puts Mike's coat on, smiling.
"Thank you, Mike."
-El.
"Okay, now are you warm enough to go back outside?"
-Mike.
El shakes her head and rubs her arms.
"Too cold."
-El.
Mike sighs. He has something planned.
"El, please come with me outside! I want to go on an adventure!"
-Mike.
Mike emphasizes on 'adventure' because he knows that will help get El back outside. She loves adventures and well, she loves Mike.
"Adventure?!"
-El.
"Yes, I have a special adventure planned for us!"
-Mike.
El blushes and looks down to the floor. She loves how excited Mike is. She is excited to see what her frog - face has planned for the both of them!
—Time jump—
Mike and El are holding hands while the snowflakes fall down onto their faces and into their hair. Mike looks at El in awe, he thinks he should kiss her, right here, right now!
"Hey, um, El?"
-Mike.
El turns to Mike.
"Yes, Mike?"
-El.
Mike doesn't reply. He just takes a deep breath and then...he kisses her! Mike has kissed her two times before, but this time was different. He felt a spark. Not the kind of 'spark' that he felt with the other kisses, but an actual spark.
"Ouch! El, what was that?"
-Mike.
"I-I don't know."
-El.
"It's probably nothing..."
-Mike.
Mike picks up his gloves; he dropped them when he was playing tag with El. Internally, he tells himself what he's doing. But when he reaches down to get his gloves, the gloves are already on his hands.
"El, did you put these on my hands?"
-Mike.
El looks at Mike with the same exact look she gave him when they were running away from the bad men last year.
"No...Mike, are you l-like me?"
-El.
Mike lets out a nervous laugh.
"Yep! The demo-dogs better be careful now, there's another badass in town!"
