Chapter I - Days Before

i think i'm in love again 🎶 i didn't think that it would be true, let alone that it would be y-

'Aw crap, I guess I'm late again.' Cleo groaned as she turned off her alarm.

She took a bath and changed into her uniform as fast as she could. She could've sworn she had broken the world record for the fastest time in getting ready to go to school with how quick she prepared herself.

She ran downstairs only to find out that her parents left already. It was a good thing her mom prepared her breakfast or else she'd starve on her way to school.

Cleo quickly grabbed the sandwich her mom prepared and rode her bicycle to go to school.

The morning sun was already so bright by the time Cleo set foot outside her house.

'Good morning Cleo! I missed you.' Logan, her boyfriend, greeted as he got his bike closer to Cleo's.

'Tch, we just met yesterday, Logan.' Cleo rolled her eyes.

'It's not my fault if I quickly miss my girlfriend.' Logan said while pouting.

'Stop being a baby and keep your eyes on the road please hahaha.'

'Oh alright, miss grouchy-killjoy-no fun.'

Cleo just laughed it off.

Logan was Cleo's first boyfriend. He was a sweet guy when he was courting Cleo yet the sweetness gradually faded after they became an official couple. Logan would sometimes hurt Cleo but she'd just try to understand him whenever he'd do so. Cleo didn't know what to do but she just tried her best to put up with Logan. Her love kept her from giving up.

The two arrived at school just before the gates closed. The bell rang right after they entered their room and Miss Porquez followed.

'Good morning, class. Today, we will be discussing about Greek Mythology.' Miss Porquez said in a loud voice.

'Another boring day filled with boring discussions.' Cleo whispered to herself as she felt her eyes about to close.

The bell which signaled the start of recess rang.

Cleo went out of her room to buy some snacks at the canteen when...

'Logan, don't forget about our date this Saturday.' Elly, her bestfriend, said out loud.
