.Cleo.

'Logan, don't forget about our date this Saturday.' Elly, her bestfriend said in a loud voice.

'Date? What date?' Cleo asked. She had just exited the room when she saw her boyfriend and bestfriend talking beside the door.

Logan and Elly's eyes widened in shock as they saw Cleo standing beside them.

'Um hey babe, Elly meant a study date you know. I'm having a lot of trouble understanding History so I need her help.' Logan answered with a shaky voice.

'Please, Logan, tell the truth. Stop lying to me. You can't fool the liar.' Cleo replied.

'Cleo, this is a misunderstanding. I meant study date. Really.' Elly defended herself.

Cleo was so full of Elly and Logan. She knew that they were both lying to her, she could see it in their eyes. She felt like crying at that time but no tears fell from her eyes. Sadness was supposed to cloud her heart at that time yet she only felt anger.

'Elly, how could you? You are my best friend, the person I trusted the most. How is it so easy for you to do that? It seems like you were just using me the whole time.' Cleo said.

'And Logan, you are the most selfish person I have ever met. You never even cared about how I felt when you hurt me with your words and all. I'm tired of all your lies. I loved you so much yet you wasted all that love. I guess this is the perfect time to give up. Both of you are a perfect match by the way. A pair of liars. Goodbye to you both.' she added.

She pushed them aside and went to the canteen. Her heart may be crying yet she couldn't let her stomach cry too.

When she went back to her classroom, she avoided looking at Logan and Elly. That went on for the rest of the day.

.4 missed calls from Logan.

'Ugh, that jerk. The nerve he has to break my heart and still call.' Cleo rolled her eyes as she blocked Logan in all her accounts.

'Goodbye, loser. See you in another life where you'll hopefully change.'

.new message from Elly.

'I should probably give my ex-bestfriend a parting message too.' she told herself.

Hey elly, i'll forgive you...one day. But for now, let me live with these wounds that you've placed on my heart. I wish you and Logan happiness. May you give him the love and joy I failed to give him. Lastly, thank you for the 7 years of friendship.

oh and btw, Logan's amazing at History.

'There, all done. These traitors deserve to be left in 2017.' she said.

A smile curved its way into her lips. A sign that she was starting to move on. A mark that she'd become a better person in 2018.
