At the moment she woke up, the Commander of the Genesis called for an emergency meeting with the High Officers on the ship. There, they would discuss future plans for their travels, without the criticism of the Greater Council.
A long table sat in the meeting room. The Officers sat across from one another, a seat separating them horizontally. The four officers, Combat, Medical, Science, and Engineering, waited patiently for the Commander to arrive.
As Meh-vaj walked through the door with her assistant Rel, the CO immediately spoke. "Why is your assistant in the room?" They asked.
"Rel is here for assistance, hence his title," Meh-vaj replied. "He explains anything I cannot."
The Combat Officer scowled. "What's the meeting about?"
"I'll get to it now. First on the tray, I've suspected that there is a large group of units on the Genesis who are doubting the necessity of the war. I need your opinions on it as well."
"You're asking us if we're on the side of the Council?" The Medical Officer replied?
"I'm asking what you think of the war," said Meh-vaj. "I need to know how you feel about it and possible outcomes. We don't want to risk the entire crew of the Genesis over some dispute that wasn't supposed to happen."
"Commander, are you against the Council?" Asked the Engineering Officer.
"How would you react if I said I was?"
The E.O. stood, saluting the Commander. "I'd stand by you. You're our Commander, and when we climbed aboard this vessel, we made a promise to stay your crew til our deaths. I intend to keep that promise." The M.O. and S.O. saluted as well.
The C.O. sighed. "Why am I always the one who fails to get along?"
"Military stereotypes?" Rel suggested. The C.O. stood along with the other officers.
"So, how do you think the crew will react?" The S.O. questioned. "There will be a number who do want to fight the Terrans. What will we do with them?"
Rel spoke up. "I recommend we stop off at a station and drop anyone who won't join us off there. We'll leave them with a way to contact home. Where will we go after?"
"I have a place in mind," Meh-vaj said.

Blade Mayhem ran down to the bridge, getting thrown against a wall as the starship jolted sharply. He blinked his mechanical camera, shaking off the impact and moving forward. It seemed like the crew had come across the anomaly where ships disappeared, or were said to have. Communications were cut off in the area for some reason, at first it was thought to be some type of nebula.
Sadly, it wasn't, and the starship was hurtling through some sort of storm. With the direction unknown, escape pods were being launched to avoid certain death upon landing in an unknown location. Light glistened through the glass as Blade reached the control room. No one else was around. The Commander had left the ship before it went into the anomaly, trying to send a location ping. It was obvious that she got pulled in too.
Blade started pressing buttons on the numerous control panels. If he played his cards right, the ship could stay relatively intact. Back and fourth he ran, tripping over himself as the ship rocked harshly.
Finnaly, the starship fell out of the anomaly, hurtling towards some sort of space station. It looked like it was from the old space age of Hallow, the time surrounding "BoLD." Blade sat down at the helm and pulled back the thruster throttle, slowing the ship to a halt, missing the station by a mere quarter mile.
The scout carrier, battered and bruised from traveling through the anomaly, had been through enough. Blade traveled to the ship's nearest armory, grabbing numerous weapons now scattered upon the floor. He walked into a launch pod and flew towards the landing bay of the station. Other pods started appearing out of the infinite void, too little of what was launched. The Captain's pod never appeared in the stars.
