Instantly warmth and comfort surrounded her. Her tears stopped and she wanted to snuggle more in the solid chest. As she closed her eyes she felt strong arms hug her waist and she laid her arms on the chest and snuggled more in the comfort the person was giving.
“What’s wrong, babe?” A voice murmured into her ear, concern evident in his tone. She smelled in his scent and rubbed her nose against his chest before replying to him, feeling more comforted from his scent. He smelt like home.
“It’s nothing, Lyndon.” She whispered back to him, staying in his arms. Lyndon didn’t reply, just tightened his hold on her and pulled her closer to him, putting his chin on the top of her head. He rubbed his hand on her back, trying to make her feel better. He didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable but he wanted to know what had made her react like that. He was sure that he saw tear stains on her cheeks and he had heard her mumbling something about how someone was a lover. But he wasn’t sure so he would ask her later on once she felt better.
After a few minutes of them both staying in that position, Vera pulled away from Lyndon’s chest but his arms kept her in place. “You can let go now,” Vera whispered a blush forming on her cheeks. She looked up at him and saw that he was smirking down to her.
“And if I don’t want to let you go?” he asked, pulling Vera back towards his chest. She tried to brace her self by placing her palms against his chest.
“Why would you not want to let me go?” She asked as she innocently slid her hands down his chest, feeling his hard abs. She felt him shiver so she stopped at the middle of his stomach. He slid his hands up her back to pull her closer to him.
“Because you make me feel like that,” he whispered into her left ear. Vera looked at her hands on his black t-shirt, refusing to glance into his eyes scared of what she might see in them, and replied.
“And,” she paused to take a breath in. “How do I make you feel?” She took a chance and glanced up into eyes, watching for any emotions that would flick through his blue eyes.
She watched as he opened his mouth ready to answer her question when she heard her father and that woman walk out the kitchen. She quickly pulled away from him, breaking through his arms that were holding her very close to him and she turned around to face her father.
As her father walked out he saw Vera and Lyndon facing him and he halted in his steps. “Hey, sweetie, are you all done now?” he asked with a smile. Vera scoffed lightly and glanced at the blonde beside him.
“Yes, thanks for asking.” She turned her head towards Lyndon who was standing silently behind her watching them. “Lyndon’s done as well. So I guess we can all eat now.” Lyndon smiled towards Vera. She turned her head back towards her father once he replied.
“What do you guys want to eat for dinner?” Before Vera could answer the blonde beside her father glanced at everyone and expressed her opinion.
“Maybe we could all go out for dinner and get to know each other?” Vera looked her father to see what he would say and was mildly surprised once she saw him looking at her with a huge smile. He agreed and they all went upstairs to get ready.
Great, Vera thought while walking up the stairs to get dressed. She was going to have to pretend that she hadn’t seen anything when all she wanted to do is ask her father what was going on between them. She sighed. Maybe she could ask him later on once everyone was gone.
She walked into her room and straight towards her walk-in closet. She changed into a white short dress that had an open cut on the back, a U neckline and a white waist belt going around her waist, showing off her curves. She paired her outfit off with brown gladiator sandals and didn’t bother with any make-up and grabbed her phone.
