What are you doing here

Holy! was he always that good looking?

I stood there a bit dumb founded.

"What are you doing here?"

I asked it came out I little more rude then I expected it to. A flash of hurt crossed his eyes.

"Umm my uncle brought me here I had noting better to do so I came ,what about you?"

" My moms bank is holding this event."

*awkward silence *

We stood there in silence for awhile until his phone buzzed. When he looked at it, his eyes turned dark with hatred.

"Uh I have to go ill be back later,

Save a dance for me?"

WHAT!?

"Uh ...yea sure" I stumbled out as he walked away quickly, did he just ask me to dance? Hmm.

I stood around talking to my moms co-workers. Music started but it was the old people kind. (not fun) they put on the fastest song these old fokes could move to...The Cupid Shuffle. Don't get me wrong i like dancing to this but all it is it

Not much action, but I did it any way and had some fun. when I was moving to the left for the twentieth time, I felt someone staring at me, but when I looked around I couldn't find anyone looking. I ignored it but it creeped me out a bit. then came the real food, I looked around for josh but couldn't fine him. o-well maybe he went home so much for the dance.

The food was incredible! They served an Italian meal (my favorite!) after we finished eating I took a trip to the little girls room to freshen up, and thank goodness i did I looked like a five year old with food all over their mouth. When I walked out I ran into something hard, I stumbled back really to apologize when I noticed it was Josh.

"Oh hey sorry didn't see you then where have you been?" I questioned

"I was out taking a walk." He said a little forceful.

Rude

" Alright ladies and gentlemen last song of the night!" The DJ shouted

"So... did you want to dance?" Josh stumbled, I forgot he asked me a long time ago.

"Sure" I said awkwardly

Get it together Isabella! You Can Do This!

I'd only seen dancing in the movies I'd never actually done it. but thank goodness I new were to put me hands.

He placed his hand on my waist and I put mine on his shoulder and our others hands met together as we intertwined our fingers. When we danced I looked down so I wouldn't step on his feet and I could see how his feet move. I heard him chuckle as his hand tilted up my chin.

"You haven't danced much have you?"

My cheeks turned red as I replied with a "no"

He smirked and laughed a bit.

Is he really laughing at me?!

" Don't look down just follow me."

We danced for a while and I got the hang of things even though I stepped on his feet twice. Oops

When the song ended everyone started leaving, I talked to Josh for a bit until his phone buzzed again and he turned dark once again.

" I have to go." with it giving me a chance to reply he stormed off

Curiosity came over me and I had to know what was going on with him.

One moment he's nice and charming the next he's dark and mysterious.

I was about to follow him when my mom came up behind me.

"Sweetie are you ready to go?"

Crap

"Uh mom if you don't mind I'm going to catch a ride with my friend. "

At least I hope he'll give me a ride home.

I mom smirked and wiggled her eye brows.

"Oh okay sweetie make sure you use protection!

"MOM!"

my mother I swear sometimes!

I walked out side to see if I could find josh when I heard yelling from a distance. I followed the sound and peeked out from behind a wall.

When I saw a man punching Josh right in the face as he fell to the ground.

"I told you what I wanted and it's your job to deliver it! Do you understand this time?!"

The man kicked Josh in the stomach and I let out a small shriek.

Shit

"Who's there?!"

Don't make a sound Isabella!

I peaked over the wall and the man wasn't looking thank The Lord, but I got a glimpse of him face and it looked so familiar, but I couldn't remember who he was.

Before he left he too one last look at Josh in disgust.

"Make sure you get it right next time you worthless piece of crap!"

And he disappeared.

Josh didn't move or try to get up. I couldn't just leave him there! I ran over and kneeled down beside him.

"Josh! are you alright!"

"Isabella? what are you doing here?!"

"I came out to get some air and I saw what happened."

Close enough to the truth

I helped him up and to his car. obviously he couldn't drive so I helped him into the passenger side and I drove him home.

I pulled up to his driveway and helped him out of the car. he opened the door to his house and I helped him inside. it smelled weird in his house and I wondered where his parents where but other then the funny smell his house was totally clean.

I helped him to the couch and looked for an ice pack for his face and stomach. When I got them I handed them to him and he thanked me.

"Look Isabella I-"

"Don't talk okay just rest"

He closed his eyes and was out like a light. I took his keys and locked his door and made sure to leave his a note and when back home. I didn't even bother to take off my dress I just plopped down and was out.
