Isabella's POV

I rolled over to other side of the bed gently waking up, when my eyes flitter open I see two closed eyes right in front of me. I felt my eyes grow two sizes as a back up to the point where I almost fall off the bed. I refrained from screaming when I realized it was Josh.

What the hell?! why the fuck was he in my bed?! I slowly got up to go off the bed careful not to wake him up. I starred at his sleeping figure. a sly smile creeped on my face, I know how to wake him. I crept next to his side of the bed put my face right above his.

"FIRE! FIRE!" I screamed I jumped out of the way to make sure when he got up we didn't collide heads although being me I just had to trip over a shoe and I fall on my ass. But it was worth it, seeing the look on his face was priceless! His eyes bulged out of his head and he jumped up and his brown locks of hair were sprawled all over the place. I couldn't hold my laughter any longer, a roar of spilled out of my lips and filled the room. His head whipped to glare at me rolling on the floor clapping my hands like a seal with tears coming from my eyes from all my laughing. I gasped for air as he spoke.

"That's not funny Isabella!" his voice sounded serious but I could tell he was holding back his smile.

"Oh come on you know it was, and that's what you get for creeping in my bed in the middle of the night! what was that for anyway?"

" There was an annoying branch that kept taping on my window." He said shyly. I guessed he relized how dumb his excuse sounded.

"Ah okay well I'm gonna go downstairs and start on breakfast when your ready you can come down." I said as I got up from the floor and left the room. Truth be told I really didn't care if he was in the bed or not it made me feel safe.

I headed down stairs and hearted up the stove and got eggs out, ever since I was 10 I watched my mom make her scrambled eggs and they were so good better than any Mexican restaurant. So after watching it so many times I learned and it stuck with me ever since.

"That smells delicious, I'm starving!" Josh said as he walked into the kitchen, still dressed in his PJ's. "any thing I can help with?" he asked.

"Yea watch the tortillas and flip them, make sure you don't burn them!" I pointed to him with my spatula. After a couple if minutes of silence he broke it.

"So what's today's plains?"

Right as he said that I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

"There's a football game today we could watch it." I said shyly

"Woah never took you for a football girl!" he said in shock.

"Stereotype much?" I replied and a sassy attitude. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't like football. he stayed silent for a couple of seconds before I said something.

"Well I like to go all out on football Sunday so after breakfast we head to HEB!"

****

"UGH how much longer!?" josh complained like a 5 year old. we've been in the store for 10 minutes and he already bored, pulse there's still so much to get.

"Would you stop complaining we've been her for 10 minutes!"

"But I feels like forever!" he wined as he leaned over the cart.

"Here go pick out any candy you want and we can get it okay?"

"YAYYY!" he basically screamed and skipped off to the candy isle, I swear that child. I watched as he picked a candy when a little girl with tears stained cheeks came up to him so I wheeled a little closer to hear. She gently pulled on his pant leg to get his attention, he looked down and he knelt down to her level.

"I-I c-can't find m-my mommy." she spoke as her voice broke though out her sentence.

"Well hi I'm josh whats your name?" he spoke with a gentle voice.

"My name is Mady." she answered

"Well Mady I'm going to help you okay but you have to stop crying okay?"

"Okay." he gently gave her the corner of his shirt to wipe her face. Without thinking he grabbed the intercom phone and spoke into it.

"All mothers look beside you if your missing a child come to isle 4!" with that he hung it up a played patty cake with Mady until her mom came.

Over all Josh was really good with kids, I wonder what other hidden talents he has.

"INTERCEPTION BITCH!" I shouted as I stood up a cheered for my Dallas Cowboys, their actually losing right now but I don't care I haven't watched foot ball in so long. I guess I said the last part out loud because Josh's amusement face went to his curiosity face. "why not, you seemed pretty enthusiastic about it." He asked. I decided to share with him a little bit of my childhood to him.

"Well when my dad was still around every Sunday we'd watch football we'd but a bunch of junk food and sit around and cheer on our teams." I took a deep breath before I continued " after my dad died we stopped the Sunday tradition, I always tried to put it on bit my mom would yell at me to change of so I could never watch anymore." I started to fiddle with my thumbs, until I looked up to meet Josh's eyes ,but they were distant very distant.

"Hey there's something I have to take care of okay? ill come back later on tonight."

"Okay. I'll see you later."

That was weird, the kid showed no emotion.

It was getting pretty late, the game ended we lost but whatever. so I had switched it to Big Bang Theory.

My phone started to ring and I picked it up. I heard heavy breathing on the other end before the voice spoke.

"Isabella.."

"Josh? is everything okay?"

"No, I need you to come down town to that big empty lot."

"Josh if your hurt you need to call 911"

"NO! don't call them I need you okay? just please come and hurry." he said with pain in his voice and then the line went died.
