Okay So so many people complain how ash is a horrible trainer, stupid and won't ever become a Pokemon master cause he can't win a league. Well I'll say right here right now he is a good trainer. Honestly being a trainer is not about winning leagues. Okay maybe it's a little about the leagues but if you think about it he battles differently than other trainers. He uses strategy and thinks outside the box and doesn't go by the book all the time like using type advantage. Some of the people he battled even learned from him and used the battle techniques he used when they battled him again. But really being a good trainer is about caring about your Pokemon and Ash does not only does he care about them but he'd do anything for them. Plus almost all his Pokemon love him and care about him and in away would do anything for him as well. Some people complain cause ash releases his good Pokemon that he's stupid and that's why he's not a good Pokemon but that's not true. He does it for good reasons. Also it's not like he's forcing them I mean the Pokemon agree with him as well. Half of them he does it out of love. Take butter free for example he set him free so he could be with the one he love. I'm sure that was one of the hardest things he's done since it was his first Pokemon he ever caught. Heck he even was will to let pikachu go so he could be with his kind which I was glad pikachu loves ash so much that he couldn't leave him. But you could tell how much it hurt ash to do that and he sorta didn't want to.Most of the time he doesn't evolve them either but that's cause they don't want to which shows how much he respects them. And in a way if you think about it if he can train lower Pokemon and win than than makes him a strong trainer. Also ash as met almost every legendary Pokemon their is and even saved some as well. Not only that he also saved the world how many times? Just because ash can't win most leagues, hasn't caught most Pokemon, or evolve most of his Pokemon doesn't mean he's a bad Pokemon trainer.
