Im gonna say it right now I ship Ash and Misty together so hard. Like I really want them to get together. She has been with him since the beginning of his Journey. I know they part ways eventually but still Misty is the first companion Ash has had. Honestly they both had helped each other grow throughout the time they've been together I do believe that. Misty would always point out Ashs mistakes everytime he made him which without that he would keep making them. It was obvious from the beginning that Misty had feelings for Ash and the ought the series Ash started to have feelings for her he just didn't know it. I mean come on its Ash he still can't recognize team rocket even when their in an obvious descise. Even Nurse Joy could see that they liked each other in the episode where pikachu wanted to prove he could beat riachu when Misty and Ash where fighting Nurse Joy was like "you know they say two people who fight really care about each other." Of course there gonna deny it. Same thing with team rocket but unlike with Nurse joy they actually blushed but still denied it. Misty makes fun of Ash a lot but Ash does the same to her as well. They love to make fun of each other and tease each other that is how there relationship works. You ask me it's pretty entertaining. One of the reasons she's my favorite with him cause ash is a savage then. There is no doubt that both Ash and Misty care about each other I mean there best friends of course they would but at the same time they would do anything to make sure they are alright. Misty has taken care of ash at least twice and saved ash when he nearly drowned in the second movie. If you think about it anytime ash has been separated or hurt Misty is the first word he says most of the time. Well he's said pikachu more times but you get the point. In that one episode I honestly don't remember it cause I only watched it once but this part I do. Where they are at some fancy festival I think dressed in some Japan like clothes and misty comes up to ash and asks him to dance and for a split second he stop and looks at her and notices her. I know that cause there's this whole pink glow around her which would indicate his mind state and I'll be honest just like Ash thought I thought she was pretty as well. But you know I think misty is just really pretty in general though. Another reason would be that Ash has kept the lure that misty has given him. By kept I mean he's very possessive of it. I will say I'm not sure about in sun and moon cause they haven't really went Pokemon fishing for us to know that yet.
