It's the morning after the party and also the start of spring break, so that's exciting. I didn't really drink enough to have a hang over, even if I do have hang overs they're usually pretty light. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the whole making out thing with Tripp. I just can't forgive him for what he did to Kaydee and I can't forget that I caught him with another girl the exact same night that he kissed me. I'm not going to be one of his girls.
I roll out of my bed and decide that I've made up my mind and I will continue to treat Tripp like I always have. I head into my bathroom and brush my teeth and get ready for the day, I have to take Brock to the pool again. I grab my phone and start playing some music to get me in a good mood. Once I'm done getting ready I head into Brock's bedroom and tell him that we're leaving. He follows me out to my car and we head out.
"So, Brock, got any girls looking at you from school?" I ask him nudging him a little, keeping my eye on the road.
"No Bella, stop being so nosy," he says, being a typical 9 year old. Brock has brown hair and brown eyes, like my mom. He's in 4th grade and does all of the typical 4th grader stuff, like football and swim.
"Alright Brock," I say. We listen to music the rest of the way there. I pull up to the front of pool and let him out as usual. I park my car to check my phone and just as I'm grabbing for my phone a knock on my window startles me and I drop my phone. I look up to see who it is and of course, I see Tripp laughing at me.
I roll down my window and say, "Really, Tripp?" I pick up my phone and check it for cracks. Once I see it's alright I let out a sigh that I didn't know was there.
"Oh, come on B, laugh a little," he says, still chuckling a bit.
I give him a harsh look, "I hate you," I say.
"Well that's a little rude, but anyway, what're you doing over break?" He asks. I almost forgot that this is the week we have off for spring break.
"I don't know, but my plans most likely, won't include you," I say.
"Umm, debatable," He says leaning on my car.
"It's not up for debate Tripp," I say and give a fake smile. He walks around my car and I assume he's leaving so I unlock my phone and when I do I hear my passenger door open and he's sitting in my passenger seat.
"Tripp, what the Hell?!" I shout, "Get out of my car!"
He puts on his seatbelt and says, "Let's drive around."
"No, get out," I say.
"Bella, I'm not getting out so you just might as well drive," he tells me and I realize that he's right and give in. We drive around until we find ourselves at a lookout over a mountain. I put the car in park and un buckle my seatbelt.
"Are you coming?" I ask, sounding annoyed.
"Where?" He asks.
"Just, come on," I tell him. I walk to the ledge where the lookout is. You can see over everything and the mountains come together perfectly in the distance.
"Wow, it's beautiful," he says looking over the railing.
"You've never been here before?" I ask him. Everyone that goes to our high school comes here, it's a really well-known place.
"No," he says. I look at him kind of shocked, but remember that he moved here from Orkney. I continue to look at the mountains in the distance, my hands are holding on the railing and I'm leaning on it. I can feel him staring at me and suddenly I feel his hand land on top of mine. I don't know what to do, but my first instinct was to jerk away, so I did just that.
