Love will take you on a journey you never expected...

I walked out of the room quickly, tossing the bag to Ember who's face was riddled with a mixture of amusement and concern, however, I paid it no mind as I tried to organize the large maps in my own hands.

"Is this all from her?" He raised a brow.

"Yes, and it's a long story."

"I'm sure we have a little time."

"Not even." I gathered the rest of the things, making sure my amulet was secure around my neck, "Okay we gotta go," I started towards the elevator shuffling some of the items in my arms making them more comfortable for me.

His expression turned to slight confusion but, I was in a hurry and felt I had no time to explain.

"Its time to head back," I said while walking ahead quickly, "Hopefully, we'll be able to figure this," I motioned at the papers, "Out in the car or something."

"Hold on a sec," he held my arm, stopping completely, looking me up and down with even more concern in his eyes. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine it's just, the oracle said we are on a time limit and I just-"

"Jade." his tone was stern now, "Are you really okay?"

"Yes, I'm truly okay," I sighed. "The Oracle told me some things and I'll explain once we're out of here. Something tells me that this might not be a good place to go into detail."

He still looked unconvinced.

"We. Have. To. Go. Now!" I clapped my hands between each word hoping he'd get the message.

"Alright," he chuckled, "I get it. Let's go."

I pushed the elevator button rapidly, waiting patiently as about 60 people got off. As soon as we were inside, I smashed the lobby button taping my foot impatiently as we slowly descended.

"Calm down," Ember chuckled clearly amused with my mood.

"I'm calm okay? I just want to get out of here!" I took a deep breath.

"We have a little time right now," he whispered softly, "what happened in there?"

I closed my eyes, remembering the snow and the memories she guided me through.

"She said I'd get to Los Muertos but, there would be trial. Nothing I didn't already know."

"But now you know how you'll get there."

"I guess," I shrugged "she didn't really have time to explain that. She said you'd be able to figure it out. She scribbled down some coordinates here."

As we talked, I noticed the elevator seemed like it was going much slower than before. In fact, it felt like it wasntmoving at all. I turned back to Ember who's eyes had narrowed, emanating a bright blue light from them.

Suddenly, the elevator bounced in a sharp jerking motion causing a scream to escape my lips. He grabbed my arm quicky, keeping me steady as we jerked from side to side.

"Jade," his voice remained as calm as his expression, but, his eyes were bright with anger. "We have to get off on this floor. Do you understand?"

"What the hell us going on?!" I could hear the panic in my own voice starting to build up though I attempted to remain calm.

"Just listen to me," he exhaled, "theres something trying to keep us from leaving. We have to run as soon as the doors open."

I nodded. "Okay."
