A Rant

Okay so, I know many people don't read this 'cause this is random stuff but I just need a place to rant about what you really shouldn't be doing on Wattpad.

I was recently reading a book stating clichés that they found on Wattpad and then I clicked on another book about annoying things that the author hated on Wattpad. I read stuff like this to try and avoid clichés that people find in stories, and the first one was helpful and funny. The second one, not so much.

First of all, the first one made up their own exaggerations of the clichés and at the end of each chapter she directed us to her other story on how to fix these problems.

The second one said what they thought was wrong with all of these books so far. While it wasn't bad, she was also being quite hypocritical as I couldn't tell the difference between one of her chapters and an author's note that she was updating us in her life. She was doing things that she had previously said herself were annoying, like asking for 100 votes on a chapter every so often. This wasn't what made me want to write this rant.

What made me want to write this rant was when she called out a girl's story in front of her thousands of readers and said it was the worst book she had ever read, she had even put the cover of it and told the readers to go check out how bad it was. This is extremely insensitive and should never happen when you're writing about stuff that annoys you. Never actually state a specific book or author when you do this, it's not right and its outright mean.

This, children, is called cyberbullying. The author of the book does this on multiple occasions and I was going to comment myself on how insensitive it was when I saw another commentor do just that, and they were just shut down and basically ignored.

Writing a book is hard, editing is even harder. If you're going to critics someone publically, do it right. Compliment sandwich, if you will. And if you're going to read One Direction and My Little Pony fanfics on an app accessible by children, expect some misspellings.

Okay that's all, sorry, it pissed me off.
