He said thatr Major Hodson and the two others had killed his wife Margaret as to take revenge on him for changing sides. His brother knew him and so did the other men . Hence when he got the right moment he striked. Now Boyd asked why 12 midnight . He said his wife was murdered at the same time so to avenge her he did this and did not regret it the least bit. Two policemen took him away . The police Superintendent Jenks commented,"When the clock strikes twelve the murderer strikes."
