Chapter 2

*flashback continues*

As everyone crowded around Ginny and me, ofcourse to congratulate us, mum realised that 'those two' haven't even opened 'their' letters yet. Well, when she said 'two' she must have meant only Ginny because I had torn the envelope ( and a bit of the letter itself ) the second it was in my hands. I was very unlike Ginny, who was trying to open the envelope without even touching the flappy bit, which to me was very dum because that was absolutely impossible and, just a waste of time. But since it was a happy day, I decided to keep my mouth zipped just, for Ginny's sake.

As I glanced around the room, I realised all the attention was mostly on Ginny. Usually I would try to hog all the attention, but somehow at that point I decided that she was, indeed waay more excited on going to Hogwarts than I was.
I looked around and realised that everyone wasn't here. Mum was in the kitchen, and dad was talking to Charlie and Percy, which was something he did quite often. It just made me sad to see them because it was usually the three of them, Charlie, Percy and, Bill. But ever  since Bill started working in Egypt, it allways seemed that their 'talks' were never complete.

I saw Ron talking to Ginny at the dining table, ( after me, it was Ron who was the closest to Ginny as she was, the next child after him ) and that's when I realised who was missing. Ofcourse! Fred and George! They are the pranksters of the family, and personally  their my favourite. Since their twins too, it's very easy ( and fun ) to play pranks on everyone. They even promised me and Ginny that when we go to Hogwarts we'll be able to do even more pranks! I was very excited when they said that, but all Ginny said was, 'Oh come on. Can't you guys ever grow up?' which, was actually quite shocking for me, but i knew deep down inside she was as excited as I was and, that's all i needed to know.

"Gen! Congrats!!!! Now we can play even more pranks at school!" Fred and George shouted from behind me, makimg me jump and burst into laughter.
"Thanks Guys. I know exactly who we should play a prank on first. But I'm afraid Ginny would kill me..." I said with a cheeky grin.
"You, Genevieve Molly Weasley, want to prank the great Harry Potter? Fred said smugly.
"Indeed I do!" I replied giggling.
"Well, we'll make sure that your wish to prank the great Harry Potter will be an absolute success!" George winked at me.
Then all three of us burst into laughter.

Mum came back out from the kitchen and told us to read the letters. I walked to Ginny, which even surprised me, because usually she was the one that came to me, not the other way around. We stood side by side and read.

"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc.,-"

I stopped. I looked at Ginny, as she has said something different than I had.

"What did you say?"

"Sorcerer. That's the actual word for the short form, sorc." she replied shortly.

"Oh." I knew that she was, indeed smarter than me. And I didn't like that. I knew that she did work harder than me, but it wasn't fair. I tried the best I could and yet she was still better. I mean i was obviously better in socializing with others, and had a much more cheerful appearance than Ginny, who was all serious. Ofcourse she was beautiful, but serious. But she is good at talking, and can smile if she wants too, it's just she's more of an introvert person.

We continued reading the rest of our letters, and thank goodness i didn't make anymore mistakes.

we are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.
